Action thriller- this often is a race against the clock, contains lots of violence and an antagonist, the villain. Jason Bourne series, James bond are examples of action thriller. Disaster thriller- the main source of course is natural disaster, e.g. floods, earthquakes. The day after tomorrow is an example of a disaster thriller. Saw series, 28 days later are both example of horror thriller.
