Yesterday, Jon, Brandon and I went to the Pacific Film Archive to see part one of Claude Lanzmann’s masterpiece Holocaust film Shoah. The pacific film archive is located downhill of the Hearst Women’s gym, in the anthropology field offices. I had heard a lot about the PFA, and I was surprised at how small the screen is. The film and not be changed.

http://evanwarfel.blogspot.com/2011/01/fantastic-skiing-day.html
Bits and thoughts from Life. Amsterdam, Luxembourg and Belgium. Thursday, January 6, 2011. A Fantastic Skiing Day. I had a fantastic day today, and I hope you did too. It was bright and sunny and not at all cold at mammoth today. The snow was hard and fast, and very few people were there. And, dare I say, I skied the best I ever have. Finally, I can ski like a European, if I so choose. Ah, winter break. Memberts is the correct spelling of the often misspelled word members. The Room and Books I like.

Midnight Breakfast: Welcome to November.
http://evanwarfel.blogspot.com/2011/11/welcome-to-november.html
Bits and thoughts from Life. Amsterdam, Luxembourg and Belgium. Wednesday, November 2, 2011. Ah Another Update. How lovely. I was talking with a few friends after wind ensemble on Monday and we ended up talking about Leroy Anderson, a composer best known for The Syncopated Clock. If you have ever been in a high school orchestra, you know that these songs, while great, are overplayed to the point of being annoying. However, I wish to share with you my favorite piece of his, The Waltzing Cat. D) The melody...

Bits and thoughts from Life. Amsterdam, Luxembourg and Belgium. Friday, November 11, 2011. On the Handmade and Protests. The videos are done entirely in black in white, which is something I would not have expected in a world of ever increasing color technology. it is pretty cool. Also, I was planning on putting a major piece of philosophy on the blog, but it is longer than I anticipated. Not to worry, that is forthcoming.
