You never know how long they will last! Wednesday, July 7, 2010. My young lady Emilee, has made it into the Navy. Emilee applied for the Gap Year along with 11000 other people. There are only 250 positions. She was short listed! Today she had to go for specialist testing. She has just text me to say, she has made it! I'm so proud of her! Emilee is the sort of person who when has a dream, just goes for it. My only trouble now will be to convince her to keep working at school for the next 4 months.

The day begun with getting dressed in the dark using a birthday candle as my light (Thank Godness it was Emilee's 16th birthday and the candles were on the bench from the night before).
