Thursday, 24 May 2012. At the weekend I was lucky enough to attend a Cathedral Windows Workshop at Moonie . which is just up the road . well 60kms up the road. The tutor was the very clever Bev McClune . Bev's Cathedral Window's Quilt. Yes, this looks complicated . but, is so cleverly put together . and beautifully romantic . I can see this beautiful quilt on a bed . sorry the photo is only a portion of the quilt as it was drapped over the bar and I cropped the photo . :-) . Now to sew a few more squares .

A Quilting Journey of Two Friends.who also like a glass of wine along the way. Christmas is Upon Us. It's hard to believe we are only weeks away from Christmas where has the year gone! I hope you enjoy a little post of pretties. My precious Granddaughter; who is just Everything and fills my heart beyond words. Sewing of a different kind; these fabrics are just beautiful and I had a lot of fun on these. Plus precious little Miss wearing an outfit. And hello from Angus; who was 12 yesterday.

A Quilting Journey of Two Friends.who also like a glass of wine along the way. As Time Ticks By. Wow, it's been so long since I've posted I'd almost forgotten how! Not much stitching has been happening in my camp, as my camp has been going through some major changes. Life changes which I can only say continue to be a challenge. So for today, just a couple of pictorial updates. Firstly, French Mosaic, a Karen Cunningham design, is getting closer to having the centre done. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). PATCH...

A Quilting Journey of Two Friends.who also like a glass of wine along the way. Its the start of Spring in Australia and we are being blessed with beautiful blue skies here in Wagga Wagga and the temperature is beginning to warm slightly. We could do with some decent rain though to settle the dust and keep everything green. So some progress photos below leading to the finished top with borders attached just last night. What a feeling it's been, to be actually achieving and getting things done. Quilting an...

A Quilting Journey of Two Friends.who also like a glass of wine along the way. Another Year Almost Gone. Where has time gone, it's hard to believe that here we are nearly at the end of 2015. Life is just too busy for everyone; days roll into weeks, weeks into months and bang, 12 months is done - again. 2015 has been another big year in my books,. I'm looking forward to 2016 being more settled, a year of new beginnings, new life and happier days (and a lot more stitching! Some pictures to finish:. Wilma&#...

Recently JulieAnn and myself had a road trip to Castlemaine in Victoria to enjoy some girl time and view the bi-annual Castlemaine Applique Group Quilt Exhibition. The whole weekend was well worth the what seemed like a never ending journey. The quilts were absolutely amazing, the majority being "our style" of quilting. Truly soul reviving and inspiration in bounds. A snippet of purchases.

A Quilting Journey of Two Friends.who also like a glass of wine along the way. Something about Florence is on my bed at long last. She is SOOO Big! A beautiful design by Susan Smith incorporating needle-turn and paper piecing, the borders helped her grow. I had her machine quilted by Sarah Lennon who did an amazing job. Stitching the final section of Binding. Angus "helping" with Irish Circles (next on the agenda for borders to complete). Heaven Has A New Angel. All lit from her World Peace Candle.
