Reflexiones de una viajera. Sunday, November 23, 2008. Why is it that every year winter comes as a shock? It's not as if I haven't lived through winter 22 times before. Every year the cold rushes in at the end of the year and somehow catches me by surprise with its jarring chill. Although I despise being cold and regret not being able to bike as I did the past few months, winter will surely afford me plenty of time for reading and reflecting, as I have been doing the past few hours in my cozy dorm room.

Reflexiones de una viajera. Friday, June 25, 2010. Does Buenos Aires sleep? And beside the sleep deprivation, I imagine that living in a city as large as Buenos Aires is, one would kind of lose touch with nature. There are nice parks there, but it's not like being out in the open, like seeing miles of green land from the university where I work in Villa María. It was in a bag with my name shoved in the cabinet behind the reception desk! One accomplishment of the week. Word of mouth can work wonders!
