Monday, October 29, 2007. Why does Society hold teachers to higher standards of moral and ethical behavior? I completely agree with you on everything you just said. We are the role models for future people and we need to be conscious of what are students are observing within us. They are entrusted to us for a good portion of their life's and because of that we have a responsibility to those students' parents to provide their students with a moral and ethical role model to learn from. When looking at the school systems and the way they are set up now there are several different changes that could be made. The three most important changes I would make would be with the atmosphere in schools, the way curriculum is taught and what is being defined as successful.
