Over the course of the 4 Wednesdays we tasted 36 wines. I get tipsy easily, and yes, I did get tipsy at one of the classes. Fear not, it was an evening when my friend drove. The first two nights were the "new world" - California, Washington, Australia, New Zealand and Argentina. The last two nights were the "old world" - Germany, Italy, Spain and France. So the conference is over. The insane weekend is done. And I am one very tired kitty. Highlights of the conference:. Crazy lady who treated me like scum, asking me stuff like "How long have you been a secretary here? And also "So have you ever been a secretary before? Finally I said "Actually, I'm not a secretary. Crazy, skeezy bastard. Friday morning I had to drive to the Kansas City airport to pick up a friend. It was a beautiful day, sunny but not too hot. I was greatly enjoying the drive, just rocking out to some good music. Just on the East side of Topeka I noticed that there was a black car that had been lingering beside me for a while. I finally looked over to see what was going on, as he'd had plenty of time to get past me. I was a little shocked at what I saw. Put up a matching sign that read "U R 2!

After visiting the museum and killing some time by climbing a climbing wall at the arcade we picked up the six-year-old and the six-year-old's mom and the six-year-old's sister and walked around amongst the lights and the snow. Yes, snow. The trees were all decorated with christmas lights and there was a carousel and the snow was coming down pretty well. It was magical. Denver is still cooler than Seattle.
