I found and lost a black and white photo of myself at around ten years of age sitting in the gnarled roots of a tree (imagine a young Ed Weston) with a Kodak Brownie camera around my neck. Since at least then, I have been a photographer. For 15 years I worked with photographic and optical systems for the Pacific Missile Range on Kauai. I live with my wife Amy and daughters Maya and Midori in Koloa town on the south side of Kauai. We share our home with two dogs – Papio and Nat.

How long is a session? Usually about an hour. It is kind of a loose guidline. If we are having a great time it might go a little longer. For couples it usually takes around 45 minutes. What should we wear? Try to avoid black and strong colors if you can. Lighter colors work best. Khaki and white is still very popular. Your balance is due at the session.
