Local community used the forest in particular flora for a number of different purposes such as a source for medicine, cultural and spiritual uses, economic activities like making boats, clothing, carving etc. For example the bark of Antiaris toxicaria. Next one comes from Finland, perhaps on Friday :) Today was our last day at Diani and we spend it on a trip to Kisite Marine Park. On the way we saw some dolphins and enjoyed nice and sunny weather. But when it came time to put on snorkeling equipment, it started raining. Luckily the rain didn’t last long and soon we were in the sea watching fishes and corals and other underwater life. Sunnuntaina aamupäivästä paistoi aurinko lähes pilvettömältä taivaalta, joten suuntasimme Merica Hotellin uima-altaalle käristämään itseämme ja nauttimaan vapaapäivästä. Muutaman tunnin loikoilun jälkeen alkoi hiukomaan ja matka jatkui Guavaan (sopivasti samaan aikaan taivaskin meni taas pilveen). Siellä se aurinko porottelee suoraan pään yläpuolella :).
