Saturday, March 31, 2012. Spring into Art Love. Love your little stone plant! Super alien and odd, but intriguing. Lots going on here. equal parts relaxing and working. Spring is in the air, along with new flowers and we have a slightly cool breeze still. Is it spring there yet? These trees are everywhere in my neighborhood and I am obsessed with their pop of yellow. (I have no idea what they are. oh well, I can still enjoy them). The mirrored piece was done by a former student of mine! Here's to spring ...

Thursday, February 23, 2012. So long, so much. I can't believe it! It's been 3 months! It's not out of laziness, though, I'll assure you of that. I've been busy busy busy. Here's a quick archive of events:. Chris had a birthday = we got a record player! Surprise weekend with you and art- sooooo good. I hugged a Polar Bear in December. Quick visit home for Christmas- to see a very mustached family and petrified trees on eroding beach (Huguenot Park). New Year's Day good luck brunch with brother and friends.

Sunday, March 27, 2011. Piles of xeroxed paper, little snacks, and glittery rocks. OMG, that "put a bird on it" video was hilarious and so true! It does seem all the craft fairs have meet Hitchcock's The Birds. You beat me to it this week- -awesome! Glad you're finally working on pattern. I totally know how it feels to be thinking about and collecting bits for something for a long time without being able to get down into it. So congrats! Yesterday, C and I had a fun outing to the Chicago Zine Fest. We bo...

life-in-parallel: June 2011

Saturday, June 18, 2011. I'm a Dork for Dad. I wrote this song and recorded all the parts myself (which is why the drum track is a little sloppy). Anyway, what d'ya think? Hosted by kiwi6.com music upload. I'm liking the looks of those piles spilling from the square frame! They kind of look like roots, or layers underneath supporting the facade. And, yeah, S (our most recent L-I-P reader) and I both agree that you should make those shirts for real. Also, cool rope! Posted by K and K. Sunday, June 12, 2011.

life-in-parallel: nice green!
http://life-in-parallel.blogspot.com/2012/03/nice-green.html
Saturday, March 10, 2012. Hope your Spring Break was as productive and relaxing as you planned! Great landscaping job- -looks lovely! Banana and lime tree? C and I just watched "The Descendents" for our date night last night. Good movie, of course, but I completely adored how lush and green it looked in Hawaii. Tropical plants are absolutely the best. I've been documenting this little funny plant of mine, not intended for the tropics, but the desert. My folks left me this lithop. Posted by K and K. Arthu...
