There are only 2 local cafe's where i find this Kiwi favourite just right to my taste, nothing wrong with all the others it's just that i'm not a big fan of thyme or sage which i think is too strong a flavour for a pie- but that is just me. The idea of pastry and mince though is very much appealing to me :) so i thought why not make my own version? Pork mince (or chicken), 500 g. 300 g button mushrooms, chopped. 1/2 of an apple, grated.

Big, Fat Chocolate Cake. 1 1/4 c cocoa. 1 c hot water. 2 tbsp. instant coffee. 1 1/2 tbsp baking powder. 1 tsp baking soda. 1 c butter, room temperature. 2 1/2 c sugar. 1 Mix the first five ingredients in a bowl. Make sure you use a whisk to free it from lumps. 2 Sift the second three ingredients in another bowl and set aside. 3 Using a mixer with a balloon whisk- cream butter and sugar til light and fluffy. Saturday, June 21, 2014. 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour. 1 1/2 cup wheatmeal flour. 1 tbsp. baking powder. 1 tsp baking soda. 1 cup light brown sugar. 1 cup white sugar. 1 can condensed milk. 1 cup coconut cream- *warm in the microwave to melt. 1) Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl, make sure it's well blended. 2) Make a well in the center and add in all the wet ingredients.
