Sunday, April 30, 2006. He's On My Side. Excerpts from today’s quiet time:. Micah 7:8,9 (Message). Don’t, enemy, crow over me. I’m down, but I’m not out. I’m sitting in the dark right now,. But God is my light. I can take God’s punishing rage. I deserve it I sinned. But it’s not forever. He’s on my side. And is going to get me out of this. He’ll turn on the lights. And show me His ways. I’ll see the whole picture. And how right He is. Oh, how I need the light turned on in my brain! Friday, April 28, 2006.

Tuesday, October 17, 2006. Little Acts with Big Love. A medical team from the States was here this past week to minister to people at some of our CarePoints, and I had the privilege of participating in two days of the outreach. Dr. Beyda (one of the most brilliant doctors ever), aware of my interest in medicine, invited me to sit with him and learn as he treated patients. It was a fantastic experience. Matthew 10:41, 42 (Message). I know He has a plan for me, and He has a plan for you. Each of us fit...

She is excited. Levi is enjoying school, also&#...Being...

Wednesday, June 28, 2006. This morning it was hard to talk myself into getting out of bed. Oooo, it’s so cold in the house today! I decided to layer up, go to the kitchen, and make a mug of hot water to drink to warm my insides. I also took my hot water bottle to fill with boiling water. (It’s now on my lap, bringing me warmth as I type.). What has brought me more warmth than the hot water this morning is the God’s Word. My eyes fell to the index cards I’d stuck on the microwave yesterday. A couple days ...

Monday, January 30, 2006. Psalm 37 To-Do List. The other morning I was making a to-do list. I had just read Psalm 37, and found myself making my to-do list from instructions in that chapter. Here is what I jotted in my journal:. Don’t be agitated by evildoers. Trust in the Lord. Do what is good. Dwell in the land. Delight in the Lord. Commit your way to the Lord. Trust in Him (and He will act! Be silent before the Lord. Wait expectantly for Him. Don’t be agitated (that’s twice! Put your hope in the Lord.

I’m excited to share with you our first family trip to Mozambique. We went for just a few days with the Rehmeyers and the Poes (another missionary family great people), and stayed in cabins in a very remote area. The beach was amazingly beautiful. Saturday, September 17, 2005. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. I Peter 5:7 (NIV). The past few days I’ve had a burden. I’ve battled to not worry. I have tried everything in my power to solve this problem, yet I’m still not able to fix it. I’ve prayed for a solution, yet so far the Lord just keeps saying, Wait. Trust Me. My stomach tightens even as I type these words. Or perhaps Trinity found it and put it in her own safe place? I’ll cast all my cares upon You. Down at Your feet.
