Wednesday, January 3, 2007. Panel Top made in silk chiffon print. I have altered this pattern in two ways; I added an extra panel to the bottom to make it 4 inches longer and I added a vertical panel to each side. The top is meant to be warn over a cami or shell top. I used the roll-hem edge and then connected the panels with a bar-tac horizontally and the multi-stitch zig-zag vertically. Friday, January 5, 2007. Roll-hem with multi-stitch zig-zag connection. Here is a close-up sample of the three-thread roll-hem connected with the multi. The fabric is organza, which is extremely. Easy to sew a perfect roll-hem edge on. The flat connection is made with the multi. Or serpentine stitch (# 4 on my Bernina. 200 and 730).
