A journey of a young woman training for the marathon of life. Monday, May 28, 2012. Today, we spent the afternoon at the Washington National Zoo! The pandas were soo cute but the lions won my heart today. Man did they put on a show! This move has been stressful but I am so happy to be up here. Once I am settled in, I believe this will be an unbelievable adventure. Be sure to stay tuned. This year has a lot in store for me. ;). Location: Washington, DC, USA. Friday, May 4, 2012. Running Through Life: Olympic Athletes = Inspiration
http://kaylapreston.blogspot.com/2012/08/olympic-athletes-inspiration.html
A journey of a young woman training for the marathon of life. Monday, August 6, 2012. Olympic Athletes = Inspiration. The 2012 Olympic Games are at the start of the second and final week. I have enjoyed these games almost as much as the 1996 Olympics. Granted, I was seven when the Atlanta games were on, I still remember watching as the USA Gymnastics team take the gold! I could barely do a handstand dismount on the beam and my coach said, "Can you do a back walk over? Location: Washington, DC, USA. There...

Kayla...In Japan! | And so the adventure continues….
And so the adventure continues…. October 11, 2013. Back to the Valley – Rafting on the Yoshino River (August 29, 2013). We loved Iya Valley so much, we knew we just had to go back! And we only waited two weeks to do so! Only this trip would have a whole lot less of the bridge crossing, mountain climbing, and backwoods driving, and a whole lot more of the life-jacket wearing, river jumping, and onsen going. We went rafting down the Yoshino River! Shikoku has some of the most beautiful rivers I’ve ev...

Monday, October 12, 2009. Risk and the Third Sector. This weeks readings discussed the third sector and also risk, and the issues that come with it. I found the two most important points were the huge amount of consideration that must be given to a percieved risk based on research and experience. The changes in power and significance from large organisations and the government to the thrid sector was also an important point. Monday, September 21, 2009. A Typical Public Relations Plan. At Home With Kayla Price
Peas with Pearl Onions and Ham. 3 / 30 / 18. 3 / 19 / 18. Makes a tasty side and brightens the plate! Yummy is the only word to describe this dish! Of course, the creaminess of the peas combined with the salty ham and onions make it divine! And, it is so easy to make. 4 oz of gold pearl onions. 1 Tbsp unsalted butter. 1/2 cup cubes of pre-cooked ham (I use a slice from a spiral cut ham – you could also use bacon). 15 oz can sweet peas, drained, or 12 oz. frozen sweet peas. I love these little onions.
