The Browers: July 2014
http://danandshalane.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 21, 2014. I had been a little concerned how summer was going to go this year. Last year I was pregnant and tired and the girls fought so much all summer long. This year I was determined to stay busy, have a little more structure to our break, and mainly have lots of fun! The girls ran around with Dan showing him all their favorite parts of the museum while Olive and I watched:. Bekah and the boys are here all summer so we've been loving spending more time than usual with my family! A few day...

Thursday, April 24, 2014. February is a little bit of a blur now that I've waited so long to post. The first six weeks with this baby girl were a little rough! We came home from the hospital with Olive for the last few days of January. Natalie and Kaitlyn were in town for the week so we got to see them a few times but I don't have any pictures. Oh wait, I do. Uncle Mitchell holding Olive, hoping that one of our girls will finally not be scared of him! I had forgotten how much time a newborn spends eating!

Sunday, March 29, 2015. CA trip (part 2 - Disneyland). I've had mixed feelings about going to Disneyland for a long time, but a lot of the girls' friends had recently gone, and we wanted to take a trip to CA anyway, so it seemed like it was time. It was a little hard to buy our four expensive tickets, but it turned out to be SO worth it. I now get all you people who love Disneyland! This post is long and detailed, but I wanted to write down everything so we could remember our first family trip. And then ...

Monday, July 13, 2015. I have a lot of catching up to do! After spring break we had a fairly uneventful month of April. We flew kites:. And then had a crazy snow storm just a few days later:. The one major thing that happened was saying good-bye to kitty. Dan's allergies had been getting worse and worse and it had to be done, but we were all so sad. (Months later, Ellie still cries about it every once in a while.) Our house felt so empty without him around! We took the girls to the new Draper pump track:.

Monday, February 16, 2015. We kicked off 2015 with a trip to the children's museum:. It was probably not the best choice on a holiday, but despite the crowds we had fun with the Richards and Kearls. We grabbed dinner and went to the Kearls afterwards so the boys could watch some sporting event. The following Monday, Alta and Ellie started school and gymnastics again and it was back to our regular schedule. Olive was showing me this face one morning:. And she takes pointing very seriously:. Dan went to an...

Thursday, May 14, 2015. The first weekend in April was Easter and the start of spring break. We went down to St. George on Friday afternoon and stayed until Tuesday. We did the same things we always do in St. George so here's a quick picture recap. Keeping the kids entertained during conference with bubbles and squirt guns (thanks to Mal! The Easter egg hunt:. Conference nap for everyone:. Olive was getting teeth and wanted to chew on her binky (which she normally never uses). Playing at the park:. We we...

Thursday, September 11, 2014. August 2014 (part 3). For my birthday this year we used the free night at the Cliff Lodge that Dan got with his Snowbird pass. We went a few days before my birthday (29 years old! On a Monday night and it was perfect. Hardly anyone was there and it was amazingly beautiful. We took the tram and hiked around for an hour or so, then had a nice dinner and explored the lodge. Olive was our little buddy and was happy as can be. It started to get pretty cold but we came prepared!

Monday, December 22, 2014. November 2014 (part 2). The week before Thanksgiving I started getting a sore throat, and the next thing I knew I was out with a fever, chills, and horrible aches. I can't remember the last time I've had the flu (I assume that's what it was)! Dan came home from work to find me completely useless on the floor while Olive ate an incredibly juicy orange (that she found in Alta's lunch box) on the carpet. The whole weekend was pretty horrible feeling the way I did, but I started ge...

Monday, July 13, 2015. On to May, the month it rained literally almost every single day. It was a busy one. We finally introduced the girls to Star Wars! Dan had to take a picture of such a momentous occasion:. Dan had to miss Ellie's Daddy Day at preschool so he took her out miniature golfing that night, where she got a real hole-in-one:. Just a typical day with Ellie riding up to the school to pick up Alta:. I don't think I really felt warm until hours after. Meanwhile, Dan was at a trade show with Kev...

Tuesday, November 18, 2014. New England Trip (day 4). I guess it's about time I finish up the trip posts so I can catch up on the rest of the blog. On Monday morning we packed up and while Dan got some last-minute things ready for his meeting, Olive explored:. I wish we would have had time to tour the houses that were open to the public. But we walked on the cliff trail again and also drove around to see some of the more impressive ones. And the grounds: (that tree was amazing! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
