Thursday, April 29, 2010. Our ultrasound on Monday, April 26th, was such an incredible experience. Again, we had the lady who went into painstakingly amazing detail about every facet of our little one's body and development. My friend Bethany came along for the ride, and we laughed and watched as Lydia slept, woke up, kicked, stretched, sucked her thumb, sassed the camera, and fluttered around inside me. That's right. I used female terms. We're having a girl. And grow she has! Close up profile shot.

Tuesday, November 16, 2010. Lydia Grace is here! She's 8 weeks and two days old. Her birth was beautiful. Charlie and I worked through the contractions like champs for 36 hours, and she was born at 7:24am on Monday, September 20th. Lydia latched on for breastfeeding almost immediately after birth in all the hullabaloo of stitching me up (yowza), delivering the placenta, and getting all cleaned off while on my deflated belly.she was able to get in a good meal right away! Tuesday, March 23, 2010. 15 weeks and feeling great. :). Sorry I haven't blogged for a while. Been, well, busy! Charlie and I have made a few big life decisions in the last couple of weeks that have taken a lot of intentional conversation and planning, and I have been working three jobs and developing new hobbies and habits in between. Everything is still fine and fulfilling. Here is our latest baby update. We're great! We DID hear the baby's heartbeat, what a beautiful sound! 140bpm, safe and healthy.

Sunday, December 27, 2009. Charlie and Bebe (Bebe is Mom's tenant's lil foofer). Lake Sarah Baptist Church Youth Group Christmas Production. The kids did such an incredible job. Our cousins, Wyatt, Maggie and Carlie, each remembered their lines to a T; perfection runs through the Swenson clan. :) We could tell that the youth group, from pre-K to high school, was tight knit and cohesive, which really added to the play they performed. Charlie and I bombed out to Mom's before the rest of the Christmas storm...
