An ocean of love. When I was sitting on that rock I was remembering my time with my son. But as I was looking out over that beautiful ocean I was on the other side. My Abba was reminding me of his love- his constant, deep, mysterious, unending love. I could've soaked in that spot all day. Unlike me, but when he looked at my eyes he knew I was serious. My dad lost his battle to ALS at the age of 32. When you're a 9 year old child, 32 sounds so, well,. I remember the words. He was so young.'. Swirling around me, but never being able to grasp the depth of how true that statement was. If I'm being honest, I'm not sure I ever understood the way ALS stole the young, vibrant, and fruitful life of my father. Until this past May. He was so young. How on earth would I survive watching my husband's life being robbed by terminal illness? I couldn't. I wouldn't.

Oh, and One More Thing. Wednesday, April 15, 2009. This past Tuesday, Johnny and I decided to drive up to Santa Barbara and Solvang. Our original plan was to go to Monterey, but its waaaaay to far, so Santa Barbara was good enough. So we set off around 9 and it only took us two hours to get to Santa Barbara. We arrived for lunch and ate at Habit, which is a burger "stand" off of state st. We passed through this really cool tunnel that went through a mountain, holding our breathe the whole way of course.

So I went out with my mom to get some last minute groceries for tonight and I could not believe how many people are still out frantically shopping till the last minute. Oh, and One More Thing. Friday, December 25, 2009. The Christmas Food :). I had SUCH GOOD FOOD for Christmas. it was amazing. And now I will share it with you. So starting with various cheeses. Some yummy marinara with italian sausage. My mom's homemade lasagna that is the BOMB! Then we have dessert. Mmmmmm. Butter cookies I made with Orange frosting. Snow man coconut cupcakes. And the final coffee and cupcake :). All this to say. I am really full! Will you be making said lasagna tomorrow night?

Illustrations and hand drawn lettering for a B&B menu. Hand drawn lettering for wedding invitations. One of my favorite projects that I’ve worked on so far has been this Valentine’s Day sipping chocolate complete with hand drawn elements and personalized to/from message lines. Sometimes I come up with punny sayings for the chalk-late box displays. A book about bikes made for my practicum class last spring.
