Sunday, October 26, 2014. We have worked for the past 4 years with good friends Al and Jan Schwartz. Jan LOVES Halloween and celebrates the whole month of October. Since we will be working on Halloween next Friday, she had her gathering last night. Even though we worked yesterday, it was our last day for the week. Jan had everyone over to her place for some Halloween Chili. They are really nice, put off the heat without the smoke! If only I had room for one, but alas, our bins are stuffed to the max!

After dumping our holding tanks, we left Bakersfield this morning and stopped at the Flying J on Merced Ave to fill up and have some breakfast. Good thing we did! We were there 21 days and I think we saw the sun twice in that time. We went through a tank of propane because it was so cold. Sunday, September 28, 2014. 3 weeks down…13 to go! That was harder that actually working the 10 hours. This past week was our first week at 10hrs a day. Thursday, March 27, 2014. What do you do in Lake Havasu when you’ve been there before? We had already been to the bridge but we had never taken the ferry ride over to Havasu Landing Casino. The casino is on the California side of the lake and unless you want to drive 90 miles around, the easiest way is to pay the $2.00 per person fee and get there is about 20 minutes.
