Kazakhstan With the V's. Saturday, April 9, 2011. We rented a car and some bikes while in the islands. Why hasn't anyone written a movie script about the places you can (and should) take a rental car? The guy didn't even ask for a damage deposit. Biking around the islands was great; we plan to do the same in BC's Gulf Islands when we get back. Dave and Edna, Kyla and Cody. So we jumped on a small ferry and went island hopping near the coast where the weather didn't affect travel. A Birthday Card for Russ.

Kazakhstan With the V's. Sunday, August 22, 2010. Return to K-stan: 2010. Frankfurt, Germany- The Zoo. On our trip to Canada, we had a lay-over in Frankfurt. We checked out a few sites in the city. The zoo was pretty fun and we had a great time getting over the jet lag by eating french fries with mayonaise and sausage with mustard- it was a real treat! Soccer spirit was in the air- they were painting their eggs in the flag colours! The old city square downtown Frankfurt! Dave and Edna, Kyla and Cody.
