You definitely want to tie your bike down to the ferry deck! Even thought the boat is big, there are sections in the open ocean where dramamine and tie downs are necessary. The ferry does not supply tie-downs, only very large rope. Bring tie downs! The next picture hopefully gives you an idea of the wind. It's pretty severe.
