I cannot believe it but the halfway mark of our 4 months here has come and gone. I cannot remember a time when school has gone by so fast! Its just incredible to look back all thats happened and how little I have written about it on here, sorry! Don't appear too interested in what you really want, just glance at it. Sometimes they will act off...

A way to stay in touch with all my family and friends back home while I am studying in Honduras for 4 months. Saturday, September 20, 2008. Soccer Game: Honduras vs. USA. Soccer is so ingrained in this culture, I doubt most of these kids actually have had real training in soccer, yet everyone of them had amazing ball skills and they could pass so well in such a small space. Everybody plays and everybody watches, its so great! There was a large river to fish in, tennis courts, soccer fields, and food!

Travelling the Pomegranate: Madrid!! and... The End is Near.
http://amclain.blogspot.com/2008/11/madrid-and-end-is-near.html
Monday, November 24, 2008. And The End is Near. So I just got home from my last traveling extravaganza, visiting my sister in Madrid, and it was lovely! We did a self-led walking tour on Friday and saw the Plaza de Espana, the Temple of Debod (SOO amazing! On Sunday we went to the Rastro, which is basically like this giant flea market, but it was wonderful! I bought lots of presents for other people and for myself, and had a really good time with my sister. It did get SUPER busy, though, like so busy...
Travelling the Pomegranate: Barca!!!
http://amclain.blogspot.com/2008/11/barca.html
Monday, November 17, 2008. So Barcelona is officially my favorite city in Spain that I've visited so far. It really was just wonderful. We had gorgeous weather (low 60's the entire weekend) and there is just SO MUCH to do there! We also signed up for a cooking class where we learned how to make sangria and paella. The sangria was absolutely fantastic! I absolutely LOVED the Sagrada Familia and Park Guell (see my Picasa album for pictures! Also, I can't believe that I'll be home in four weeks! I feel like...

I don't have too much time to update because I should be studying for finals but I just wanted to let you all know that I'm still here, still doing well, and actually not ready to come home yet. The Ice Is Getting Thinner: Rockin' out with the Swedes
http://nathanmeyers23.blogspot.com/2012/06/rockin-out-with-swedes.html
The Ice Is Getting Thinner. Saturday, June 30, 2012. Rockin' out with the Swedes. Every once in a while there's a musical album that grabs you by the ears and won't let go. Whether it's a slow build, first listening to the CD at a lackluster pace, or a dizzying whirlwind of listening from the get-go, there are simply some albums you can't. stop. listening. to. I'll choose one word to sum up this effect on the listener: resonance. Such mind-gripping albums resonate. By First Aid Kit. Every morning keeps r...

The Ice Is Getting Thinner. Monday, March 19, 2012. A fuller understanding of Jesus's Sabbath teachings. The way first century Jews viewed time was intricately connected with the way they understood the Sabbath:. As this was the case, the sabbath was the natural day to celebrate, to worship, to pray, to study God's law. It was the moment in which the progression of history from its foundations to its ultimate resolution was fully sensed. Labels: http:/ www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif. I strive to be a chil...

The Ice Is Getting Thinner. Sunday, August 5, 2012. With this pen, I thee wed, from my heart to your distress. Every review of the Gaslight Anthem's newest album, Handwritten. Begins with a nod to the band's magnum opus, The '59 Sound. Must be the same as Springsteen's Thunder Road. Mary" Gaslight's gritty guitar rifts, song tempos, and growling vocals captured the essence of Springsteen-esque rock 'n' roll for our generation. The '59 Sound. Was perfect; a career-defining record for this young band.

The Ice Is Getting Thinner. Monday, December 31, 2012. Favorite Music of 2012. Claire Boucher- the one-woman show that is Grimes- uniquely blurs her gorgeous falsetto with layers upon layers of electronic beats and hooks that make her songs fresh for fans of electronic music. While lyrically simple, the songs Genesis. Take on powerful meaning in her music videos, which challenge female stereotypes and the influence of male sports on violence in society. Notable songs:. Symphonia IX (My Wait is U). Explor...
The Ice Is Getting Thinner: January 2012

The Ice Is Getting Thinner. Saturday, January 28, 2012. Kingdom Work and Common Grace. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin." -Romans 14:23 (ESV). Not do "kingdom work.". And expect Aslan to be happy about it." -From the book I'm currently reading. What are y'allz thoughts on this? My leisurely Saturday morn gave me time to read, but reading has me puzzling over what the author says here. My gut reaction is to theologically agree, while going further. Even if all good works not. The same one w...

Mrs. Bushman's Class News
Mrs Bushman's Class News. Thursday, March 12, 2009. We have been extremely busy after the winter break, especially after those two snow days! Thank you to everyone who offered and donated items for our unit on Land and Water. At this point, we have just about everything we need to get started. If any other needs arise, I’ll let you all know. One item that we do need for the classroom is blue and black erasable pens. If you can send any in, it will be greatly appreciated. That’s all for right now! There i...
