And Karlsson on the Roof. It was first published in Sweden in 1954 as Mio min Mio. High fantasy book, contemporary to The Chronicles of Narnia. And The Lord of The Rings. Most importantly, though, it was a present for me from my father and it was the first book I read on my own, aged eight. My worn out Italian copy.
