Well, It’s that time of the year again. Can you believe another year has gone by already? I always somewhat dread writing these end-of-year posts because both writing and vocalizing my feelings are definitely not my strong suits. And writing about my feelings? Game over. But I really value the feeling I get when I read back on each year’s post, so…here goes, 2012. Traveled the whole year again = 196 nights spent in a hotel. Worked on 3 different clients/projects. Touched Nick Carter’s hand! Going forward...

Dear blog and loyal readers, I apologize for neglecting you all for so long. In 2013, I wrote a grand total of 3 posts, all in January. So it’s been a full year (? Since I’ve graced the blogging world with my presence. I know, I know – you’ve missed me bad. In all honesty, I absolutely hate writing these year-end reflection posts. It takes a lot out of me to look back and put experiences and feelings onto paper. But in an attempt to jumpstart my mind, I went back and read my 2009. In my 2012 post, I wrot...

Remember a few years ago, when I was just young, naive, 21-year-old who got coerced into signing up for the St Louis Half Marathon. And remember how I trained oh SO hard for it. And remember how I ended up getting owned by some hills. And a 14-year-old girl who finished almost an hour ahead of me)? Well-Intentioned Friend (WIF): So, did you decide about the half marathon yet? Me: Hm, I’m leaning towards no, but keep me in the loop just in case. Aka my attempt at being polite…). 5 minutes later…. Fast for...

Attending the BCS National Championship game in LA (still worth documenting…maybe) :(. Going snowboarding for the first time. Getting a new German boyfriend! Aka buying a new car). Running a half marathon (and a 5k before that). Taking on a project role with more responsibility. Participating in the Texas 4000 Atlas Ride. Scoring my first touchdown! Loving home decor related things (repainting bathroom and other subtle changes around my room). Becoming more involved at FBCC (Stone Soup, college retreat).

This weekend, I did the unthinkable. I ran the GO! St Louis Half Marathon! Yes, I realize what many of you guys are thinking. I ran a half marathon? Me, the girl who previously participated in zero physical activities and looked visibly strained whenever forced to climb half a flight of stairs? If you recall, my training started off pretty rough. 8230;and then became virtually nonexistent. Case in point: you know how you’re supposed to do your long runs on the weekends? 8221; But the second half? The Hil...
