http://kcfoodforlife.blogspot.com/2007/01/beans-musical-fruit.html

Thursday, January 25, 2007. Beans, the Musical Fruit. I promise I will get the adolescent humor out of my system in the first paragraph. Ah, the bean. It has been poetically described as the musical fruit in fourth grade sonnets across this great nation. The only food that trumpets its own arrival. Eating this protein-packed little legume has re. Food for Life: That Tofu That You Do

http://kcfoodforlife.blogspot.com/2007/04/that-tofu-that-you-do.html

Tuesday, April 24, 2007. That Tofu That You Do. Heya The topic for today is tofu. The thing that has always fascinated me about tofu is that it really has very little flavor of its own and instead takes on the flavor of whatever it is cooked with. As such, it is an incredibly versatile food that can be added to any number of vegetarian entrees. One word of caution: tofu absorbs flavors so easily that it should not be stored in the refrigerator next to anything with a strong aroma.). 1 cup green peas.

Food for Life: Hardcore Corn

http://kcfoodforlife.blogspot.com/2007/02/hardcore-corn.html

Wednesday, February 21, 2007. Friends, Kansas Citians, Vegetarians, lend me your ears! Just when you thought the “corny” puns had ceased, the Food for Life Chef returns, this time barricaded in the Central Kitchen with more lame jokes than you can shake a stalk at. If were under the impression that I had gotten the silliness out of my system with the segment on beans, forget it. I’m too hopped up on decaf green tea today for that. On the topic of corn, where do we begin? 3 cups rice or soy milk. Subscrib...
