Sorry we are a little delayed in sending this message. We arrived home safely on Sunday May 2nd! We were exhausted but we had a nice welcoming party at the airport when we got in. So that was our week back. We have more to update. For now, we just wanted to let everyone know that we are home and things are going well. Reading...

Our Family Adventures: November 2010
http://daveerinandfamily.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 9, 2010. Frustrating Message Board at work. Ok So, when I refer to a message board I am not referring to something you would see while sitting at your computer. I want you to imagine a big board that is stuck on the wall, maybe 3 feet by 3 feet. One that you could stick tacks in or on which you could staple things. This is the old style message board that we still use in our work place. What a great idea! People are trying to raise awareness for their cause on the message board. Many ch...

http://daveerinandfamily.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 19, 2010. We are so excited to announce our newest family member! Photo and video editing at www.OneTrueMedia.com. Tuesday, March 9, 2010. And a weekend away! After all the disappointing news I have been posting, I figured we could share some good news as well. Hannah has her first loose tooth! She is very excited but says that she will not let it be pulled and will wait for it to "fall" out. We'll see how that goes! It was so nice to get away and be together! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Our Family Adventures: January 2010
http://daveerinandfamily.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Unfortunately, the judge would like some additional information so we did not pass this time. Our next court date will be February 8th. Although we are disappointed, we would rather have the judge be thorough in everything and really our next court date isn't that far away. It's just a little discouraging when we have been waiting so long to begin with. Again, thanks to everyone who has been praying for us! Monday, January 11, 2010. Court Date- January 18th. Proof of Medical/...

Our Family Adventures: February 2010
http://daveerinandfamily.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 23, 2010. Yet again, we did not pass. It is with a very heavy heart that I tell you our case did not pass in the Ethiopian courts for the 3rd time. Our 4 th. And hopefully final) court date will be March 9 th. The additional information that was requested did not receive the proper clearances it needed. And we need a recommendation letter from MOWA. Ministry of Women's Affairs)-the primary adoption authority in Ethiopia, which they didn't yet write. Sunday, February 21, 2010. We sent so...

Our Family Adventures: Crazy Snow!
http://daveerinandfamily.blogspot.com/2011/01/crazy-snow.html
Thursday, January 27, 2011. We ended up taking back roads to get as close to her as possible and brought her home. Great idea! Until we had to go this morning to dig her out. It was funny to sit in the snow and listen to the sounds. Early in the storm, say 5PM to 7PM, people were honking and you could hear lots of talking. Later at night, everybody must have been worn out by the storm. No horns honking, barely any engine sounds (because they weren't moving), no talking, just an eery quiet. Reading Agreem...

Our Family Adventures: Deserving...
http://daveerinandfamily.blogspot.com/2011/01/deserving.html
Monday, January 17, 2011. What if we all had to start from scratch. Born equal, without the benefit of family history. What if all around the globe every generation began from an equal basis. Meaning the wealth and knowledge of the prior generation disappeared with them? I do agree that this is a huge benefit of being born American. This isn't the problem. The problem is what comes next. Do people not think about what this means? How do you feel about this? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Kelly Keane...

Our Family Adventures: Just count to sixty.
http://daveerinandfamily.blogspot.com/2010/08/just-count-to-sixty.html
Monday, August 16, 2010. Just count to sixty. Hannah asked, "Daddy, why can some kids read time but I can't? She followed up with a shy smile and cute response, "I didn't know I could." I let her know how awesome it was and how I knew she could do it. Just a fun story I thought I could share. I think we all have things that we aren't sure we can do. Why not just give it a try? I bet you can do it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Maryland, United States. View my complete profile. Links to other sites.
