Words and other bits. Head in the clouds. It has apparently been three weeks since I put this blog up - and a busy three weeks it has been. Aside from the day job and the usual activities involved in continued existence as a human, Ive been working on a side project: cloudscontrol.us. The concept is the continuation of an idea which is now well over a decade old, which has had many names and many incarnations; the best-known of these was probably The Basement Productions. Words and other bits. A record to call my own. So, here it is, at last. Today I am announcing the upcoming release of my new album, Forward. It will be the twelfth official release on my basslin.es. Imprint, available worldwide in a variety of digital formats on August 16th, 2014. You can even pre-order it right now. Words and other bits. Well, there are many more interesting things I've meant to write about, but this is annoying me just enough to want to write more than a tweet will hold, so here it is. I bought a new printer just over a year ago - a Canon iP2702. Actually, I have the invoice: I paid $39.99 plus shipping for it on January 7th, 2011. It seemed like a great deal, at the time. Is a modern urban music project from Portland, Oregon, produced by beat chef Keegan Quinn. And featuring the linguistic styles of Big Nutz. Keegan and Nutz were also previously involved with Portland gangsta rap group 5 oh Trees. Although the process was similar, the sound and energy resulting from it were distinctly new, so it was decided that the project should be given a new name. Was a gangsta rap group from Portland, Oregon, produced by Keegan Quinn. With raps by Big Nutz. Recordings frequently featured vocal contributions from a number of other local underground rappers, including Celebrity Johnson. The group gets their name from the city's area code, 503. This group was active from 2003 to 2009. Keegan and Nutz are now working on a new project called Hundred Round Drum. An early 5 oh Trees demo track, Get Off the Wall, is featured on the 2003 compilation Triple Penetration.
