Want to be involved? A trip down memory lane. Bern Morely – I got chills, they’re mortifying. Maddison is eleven. Wait, don’t go anywhere, because this could totally relate to you. Presumably you were eleven once. And, I’m guessing, just like me, you were embarrassed by your parents at least once. Perhaps even mortifyingly so. But being the clearly easily bought little tramp that I am, I accepted. So have I learnt anything from my childhood? Mind you, I did find myself leaping out of the car this morning...

Want to be involved? Mrs M on life with a 10 year old. So a few weeks ago my daughter turned 10 years old. I have been a mother for 10 years. 10 years is a milestone. It is something to be celebrated; it is a time for reflection. Since my daughter was born my husband and I have added another three children to our brood. We have been busy these last 10 years. No wonder I’ve lost track of time. So what have I learned in the first 10 years? For my daughter, I would have to say that starting kindergarten was...

http://nurturethelittlepeople.blogspot.com/2011/08/discipline-what-do-you-do.html
Nurture the Little People. Tuesday, 30 August 2011. Discipline - what do you do? But it does raise the issue of discipline. What to do to show our son that his teacher is the boss when he is at school? If Junior got his name on the board this week, he would not be able to go the Skate Park on the weekend with Dad for a skate. The threat of this alone last Friday night was enough to reduce Junior to tears. The message had finally sunk in. What types of disciplinary methods do you use in your family? Daisy...

Nurture the Little People: It's Green, it's Pesto, it's Good!
http://nurturethelittlepeople.blogspot.com/2011/09/its-green-its-pest-its-good.html
Nurture the Little People. Thursday, 15 September 2011. It's Green, it's Pesto, it's Good! On a rainy Saturday just gone, when the heavens had opened up, the kids were climbing the walls. I'd had enough of football on the telly. I rounded up the boys for a good old fashioned Pesto making session. Junior went out to pick the remainder of the leaves and stems from the basil plants. And Mini Hoges enjoyed the task of picking the leaves off and putting them into the blender. Large Bunch of basil leaves.

But characters whether they be real or fictional - that display the characteristics that you aspire to. Why all the idol chatter? Because sometimes you will gain secret strength from your private idol. Strength that will get you through any hard times you may have with your family or friends. They lived life...
