Wednesday, May 15, 2013. Spring Break 2013 - Our First Real Road Trip. We drove to our hotel in Carlsbad on Sat night. We really liked staying in the Hilton Homewood Suites. We had two rooms (a bedroom and a family room/kitchen with a sofa bed), and they fed us breakfast each day and dinners on the weekdays. What a deal! Here's a brief itinerary of the rest of the week. Friday, February 22, 2013. This is obviously an old video. I was just picking one to see if I could get it to load (and I did! Here are a few pictures:. St George was a welcome change to the weeks-long-freezing-cold inversion we had been having in UT county. The sky was clear. The sun was out. It was still a bit chilly, but to us, 45 or 50 degrees was warm enough to enjoy the red rocks and do a little hiking. This guy loves to explore. This is one of my favorites. :). It was on the Early Show and by the asst. editor of Gourmet magazine. Zucchini with Lemony Crumbs. 2 lb zucchini, coarsely grated. 3/4 stick butter, divided. 1 1/2 c. coarse breadcrumbs (from day old baguette). 1 1/2 tsp. grated lemon zest. 1 tsp chopped thyme ( I used fresh). 2 garlic cloves, minced.
