keeping my eye on the prize

Keeping my eye on the prize. Thursday, May 5, 2011. One Year Since Surgery. I hope everyone is doing well. It was so nice to not think about my jaw for a few months. One last thing, I saw some old pictures of my teeth and after that I was so glad I had this done. Wednesday, November 3, 2010. Guess what happened today! Thursday, September 16, 2010. Surprise, No Loose Screws. I woke in recovery in pain which made me think the pain would only get worse, but it didn't. Actually, I feel fantastic now! I am re...

keeping my eye on the prize: Plate and Screw Removal Tomorrow

Keeping my eye on the prize. Wednesday, September 15, 2010. Plate and Screw Removal Tomorrow. You were all right. Once he's in there he should be able to tell what caused the infection. He also may have to shave the bone down slightly if I had some overgrowth. Sometimes that happens with an infection. I asked the nurse how often this happens and I didn't get a very straight answer. She just said "not that often". Anyway, your prayers are always appreciated. Hugs! September 15, 2010 at 7:15 PM. All the be...

Keeping my eye on the prize. Wednesday, November 3, 2010. Guess what happened today! I wasn't expecting this, but today when I took my youngest son in to get his braces on they took mine off. It did hurt to keep my mouth open for so long, but otherwise it wasn't bad. I am so pleased with the way things turned out. I will post more later. Here's a real dorky video of me right after I got them off. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Is having jaw surgery worth the pain and cost? View my complete profile.

http://keepingmyeyeontheprize.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Keeping my eye on the prize. Sunday, July 11, 2010. It's been a year since I got my braces on. I remember the first thing I did after my braces were on was to ride the COG Railroad up to the top of Pikes Peak. I have already decided that will be the last thing I do to finish off my braces journey. That will be like a round trip up and back from the Peak. Symbolic in a way. I hope everyone is doing well! Hell's Teeth: The end of the line....

http://dentalpurgatory.blogspot.com/2011/01/end-of-line.html

My adventures in the orthognathic underworld. Saturday, 1 January 2011. The end of the line. What a week, what a week! Since the Great Unveiling i've been flashing my fantastic new smile at every opportunity, enjoying the sensation of normal teeth on food and staring at my reflection in astonishment every moment I can - it's only just sinking in that they're finally off! So what's it's like I hear you ask? I must say, this blogging lark has been a lifesaver many times over during over the many months as ...

Donna's Journey To Jaw Surgery. Published January 10, 2017. Tuesday 11th October 2016. We were also running low on paracetamol so my dad asked how we go about getting some more but he said dissolvable ones from the local supermarket will be fine now. (Turned out, i had my last dose that evening and never touched medication again). I also had to go and see the orthodontist as the surgeon finally decided I needed bands on! They were a nightmare to get on. Larr; Day 7 – One Week! Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

SURGERY CANCELLED!! | Donna's Journey To Jaw Surgery

https://donnasjawsurgery.wordpress.com/2016/09/14/surgery-cancelled/comment-page-1

Donna's Journey To Jaw Surgery. Published September 14, 2016. Just received the dreaded phone call. Surgery has been cancelled! I was kind of expecting it after my last visit to the surgeon so wasn’t upset or surprised. The lady said we’re rearranging your appointment with Mr Smith because you know your surgery’s been cancelled don’t you? I said Not that I know of! She literally just said I’ll ring you back. I can live with a weeks delay but it’s just frustrating! One comment on “ SURGERY CANCELLED!

Whilst walking back to work, several thoughts went through my head:. I don’t recall the ortho or surgeon mentioning my weight so far. I was accepted when I had my wisdom teeth out (okay, I wasn’t on liquids for weeks after). Younger people (so possibly lighter than me) have this surgery. I checked my BMI and it says im healthy. Donna's Journey To Jaw Surgery. Published October 23, 2016. Saturday 8th October 2016. Today I started feeling more like myself. I felt like I was turning a corner and over the worst. My mum had been visiting me every day this week (and was so happy to see her every time) and we had discussed that we would go for a little walk round the block – just to get some fresh air. I was tired at the end of it because didnt have much energy with being on soups and milkshakes but it was nice. Off to rob a bank!

I’m assuming that I’m feeling much more better in myself but still quite numb and stiff. I know mornings are still difficult. The pressure in my head and ears are still bad. Keeping My Day Job. In which I give voice to my dormant self: art historian, film theorist, English teacher. January 26, 2016. In 1987 I wrote a paper on the film Labyrinth. For a graduate course. I don’t often read my old college papers, but with the death of David Bowie earlier this month, I felt the need to watch the film again, on my rusty old VHS player. And that piqued my curiosity to see what I had written nearly 30 years ago. Exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago earlier in 2014&#4...

Keeping My Eyes on Jesus

Keeping My Eyes on Jesus. Jesus- "The One on whom our faith depends from start to finish" (Heb.12:2). Friday, September 19, 2008. My favorite tree is a palm tree. I simply love their majestic height and clean lines. I especially like palm trees with long frongs that bend towards the ground and blow gracefully when caught in the wind. Keeping my eyes on Jesus…. Through the trials and tribulations of life and infertility. October 24, 2017 by Marion. Paul’s teachings are so clear about Grace but we often don’t understand it until someone explains it clearly. I know I never saw it until it was explained to me.
