A look at the current state of gaming culture for the masses. Working to Play in a Digital Age. This is an essay written in my second year of undergraduate studies. The essay explores how the distinction between our notions of work and play have become intertwined within the digital era. Specifically, how do we separate notions of work and play within our leisure time in this new age? Working to Play in a Digital Age. A Move towards Understanding Free Time. Free time as work. There's always money in the banana stand. Most of my posts are tl;dr - you've been warned. Saturday, April 11, 2009. Thing I Like #12 #13: Twofer #2! Random Acts of Kindness Robots Not Out to Take Over the World. A student from NYU set up an experiment in which a cute little robot guy. Was set loose in the northeast corner of a park in order to reach the southwest corner. Because it was only programmed to move forward, it had to rely on other people to rescue it from any troubles they might encounter.

There's always money in the banana stand. Most of my posts are tl;dr - you've been warned. Saturday, October 4, 2008. Thing I Like #2: Big Breakfasts. They don't mind sacrificing a little bit of sleep in order to have that extra time needed to make some breakfast magic. Let's call these the Sensualists. I am usually of the 'eat me up before you go-go'. Variety, but not today. This morning, I was a Sensualist. I got around to the eating part of breakfast a little late, so I got to finish off what was left.

There's always money in the banana stand. Most of my posts are tl;dr - you've been warned. Sunday, April 26, 2009. Thing I Like #14: annathered (or awesome bentos). I was originally going to title this post "Sweet Video Game-Inspired Bento Boxes." A bento box. Is a Japanese lunch box, sorta. Often, the lunch-maker will go to great (awesome) lengths to make the lunch look as aesthetically amazing as possible. Awesome ones are made by the same magical person! Some of my absolute favourites:. I have no words.

There's always money in the banana stand. Most of my posts are tl;dr - you've been warned. Thursday, May 21, 2009. Thing I Like #15: Little Favours. This is something of a final post, only because I've moved on to an "official" blog (i.e. not a school sanctioned one). But it's an appropriate one, I think. Msg, txt, call, whatever." An addendum added that "nudges are also acceptable.". Thank God/Darwin/your deity of choice (or lack thereof) for little favours. Labels: real participative communication.

Boot Camp and Cake Tasting. Busy weekend of working out and wedding plans. Saturday my gym hosted an open house as a fundraiser for a local charity. My friend did a free small group training boot camp. It was first time I tried this type of class and my friend kicked my butt! She is planning to do this one once a week for my bridesmaids and I when it gets closer to my wedding. I am kind of looking forward to it…. Sunday, Mike and I had our cake tasting. We had been looking forward to this! May 18, 2015.
