I made the mistake of taking a nap last night (around 7:30-8:30). So I couldn't get to real. Sleep until 3am. Thankfully I had the luxury today of sleeping in as long as I needed to. I finally dragged my butt up at 10am, with plans to go into work by 11:30. Well, then I got an email saying my class at 12:40 was canceled. LMRUCity or Green Bay, WI? Just how cold was it here today? Damn cold. As cold as it was at the Packers/Giants semi-final game a few weeks ago in Green Bay. I felt so bad for all the players during that game because it was -2F w/ a wind chill of -22F, but that was at 8pm. Well, feel sorry for us now, because today it was a high of 1F here, with a wind chill of -21F. How cold is that? Yeah Brrr. There's a draft from the windows even 5 to 6 feet away. Can't wait to see the heat bill next month. Not 1 but 2.

I killed a fruit fly in my kitchen today, and my immediate thought was "ooh - red eyes - recessive.". I haven't studied fruit flies since 12th grade biology class. Why the heck did I remember red eyes was a recessive trait? There are still 2 flies left which followed me to the bedroom at my desk and are driving me crazy! By the way - these are the invitations I picked out. They don't really match the 'bordeaux and light blue' color scheme. (the flower leaf things are more of a dark purple) But that's ok. I have a ring :-D. And a big goofy grin to go with it. I would go into the details of how I attained the beautiful treasure, but it's all pretty much a blur.
