Crossing the Bar: May 2012
http://crossing-the-bar.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 15, 2012. I am taking this moment to rant about the insanity of people and their usernames and passwords. We've all heard about people using "1234" or "999999" or *gasp* "password" as their password, but I just took a call from an organization who wanted to give everyone signing up for their fundraising event the same password so staff could access the participants pages. Blink* Does anyone think this is a good idea? No wonder people get hacked. Wednesday, May 02, 2012. A Friend to knit with.

Kids, knitting, nursing and my life. Tuesday, January 4, 2011. What a crazy 2 days at work! I worked in our triage room on Sunday and was crazy busy. A storm front was moving through and that always brings women in with ruptured membranes or just plain in labor. I saw 15 patients that day and admitted all of them. Every. Single. One. All of them were legitimate admits too. Maybe I'll win tonight's lottery and I can buy all the yarn I want! When I have kids going off to college. Any ideas? 4 Finish my UFO...

Kids, knitting, nursing and my life. Monday, May 12, 2014. So sorry that I haven't posted anything for a few days. It's been crazy busy and we are all working like crazy around here. He is just one of the people we helped here. Randy lost his right leg after being hit by a bus 6 months ago. Well guess what? He got a new leg! Our prosthetics team is pretty awesome. They bring in tons of equipment and work like crazy to fit people who need artificial limbs. We got him ready to go and started the fitting.

Sunday, March 29, 2009. Let's face it: princesses suck. The ATC assignment this round was Andersen's fairy tales, and the heavily moralising tone and emphasis on princess-ly delicacy just made me snap. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Sunday, January 4, 2009. The improbable joy of wet wool. First, a couple of cultural snaps: I woke up to this in my kitchen on Christmas morning (okay, I lie, it was Christmas afternoon by the time I ventured out):. According to local custom, it's perfectly acceptable to eat the edibles after they've sat out for a little while and the deities and/or ancestors have absorbed the mana. The little fluffballs, once beaten into shape, turn out looking like this:. Not too bad for a first attempt! Teach Yourself...

Sunday, May 10, 2009. Fuji Chalmsak versus Arslan Magomedov. This match looks like it's a K-1 match but I've never seen it until now.
