Danville Days: August 2010
http://danvilledays.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 30, 2010. Remember back in the day when you (or maybe your peeps) would pull in to a gas station and an attendant would like dash. Out to help you? Like, you'd have to be like 'NO THANKS' with great firmness and resolve to avoid the feeling that it might be expected of you to tip the entire Exxon staff? Those were the golden days. Employer, they don't use automated checkout machines. But they will, never fear. And then they'll kill it even more. Why are we going along with this shit? Last ...

Friday, July 30, 2010. Here is the official drop of my all-new bike-specific blog, B True Bikes. I even tried my hand at vlogging as part of the new btruebikes thing. Mmmmmmm, vlogging is fun if you enjoy talking to a creepy lens or having a syringe pointed at your eye. I'll prolly keep it up. I have some vlog ideas. Monday, July 19, 2010. Danville Days: November 2011
http://danvilledays.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 30, 2011. For a long time, at least since like high school, I've thought of myself as more of a Night-time Person. Historically, evenings have been my productivity sweet spot - the hours when distractions and other annoying demands on my time (school, work, humans) are through, and I've been able to get things done. Tuesday, November 29, 2011. The Carrot and The Stick". What does this even mean? I've always been confused because the phrase conjures up this image for me of a long thin ...

Danville Days: February 2012

Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Zero-Sum Capitalism (fracking revisited). One of the tensions within capitalism described so well by Marx is that tension between the promise of the ultimate freedom of the bourgeois economic subject on the one hand and the kind of world inevitably created by the crushing, race-to-the-bottom unfreedom of industrial capitalist value-production on the other. The second fallacy I'd call the "utilitarian fallacy", which is that it's possible to maximize self-interest for a large...

http://yeastandapples.blogspot.com/2009/03/flanders-red-secondary-399.html
Alcohol and Carbon Dioxide = Homebrewed Goodness. Flanders Red: Secondary 3/9/9. The color was Flanders red-ish. That was good. Did I mention that I used about a 9 month old Wyeast Belgian Blend Propagator and that I got freaked out it wouldn't work and rather than waiting and using a hydrometer that I instead drove 20 miles one way to buy some White Labs Belgian Sour Mix which I pitched two days later? Alcohol and Carbon Dioxide = Homebrewed Goodness. Stuck Sprarges Begone: Improved Homemade Mash Tun. About the construction of my homemade mash tun. However, I got stuck sparges with my first two uses ( one. The culprit, seemingly, was the the piece of PEX. I was using to filter the wort from the grain. It just wasn't porous enough to keep things running smoothly. Rather than drilling a bunch more tiny holes, I decided to take the route. Praised by many and I used a stainless steel braid. I made some wor...

Alcohol and Carbon Dioxide = Homebrewed Goodness. More like I will. Drink this. This post's title is in reference to Infinite Jest. A novel by David Foster Wallace. There is a scene where a child eats some vile-looking mold and goes up to his mother and says something akin to "I ate this" whilst his face and mouth are covered in green. Its funny to me, but I am not sure if its supposed to be funny. So why I am talking about this novel? Camera One, Camera Two:. On the right there is no visible activity.
