So after visiting all these city's we were longing for the calmness and relaxation the jungle and the islands had to offer. we thought at least! After surviving this it was a short walk through the jungle to the Rafflesia flower (which actually is a parasite but who cares, it looks like a flower? One of the biggest flowers in the world! The other side of OZ. 05 May 2009 06:24. We redden vandaag via Normanton en Cloncurry naar Mount Isa. De weg hierheen was echt prachtig en leek gelukkig daardoor niet zo lang. In Mount Isa zijn we naar de lookout gereden om deze ‘prachtige mijnstad te bewonderen en hebben we ook nog even een bezoekje aan de Royal Flying Doctor Service gebracht. Een laatste trail en toen zat het er op. Donderdag 18 en vrijdag 19 juni. Toch nog een trail gedaan. Rest ons nog de camper vanmiddag schoon te maken en de koffers te pakken. Morgen richting het camperverhuurbedrijf en dan naar het vliegveld. Vrijdag 16.20 uur vliegen we naar Amsterdam waar we zaterdag rond 10.30 uur aankomen. Maar om half 9 was de koek toch echt op.
