Did I Really Move to Greenwich?: May 2011
http://didireallymove.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Did I Really Move to Greenwich? Monday, May 9, 2011. It is definitely longer IF the turnpike was never congested. However, the drive is gorgeous - through Pennsylvania farm and Amish country (the former does smell like cow poo, I mean a lot like cow poo, but it's bucolic), and, for the penny pinchers among us, CHEAP! The roundtrip via I-95 can set you back close to 60 bucks in tolls. This way: $13.45. That's one of the tanks of gas you'll need in savings. You know what else is poor manners?

Did I Really Move to Greenwich?: August 2011
http://didireallymove.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Did I Really Move to Greenwich? Thursday, August 4, 2011. Perhaps I Suffer From Overexpediency. I've been trying to give money away recently. I know that in this economy, that might sound strange, so I'll say that I've been trying to give money away in targeted areas. Apparently, it's not as easy as one would assume. As an aside, it is humorous to note that when the dealer finally did get back to me, albeit with the "woah, didn't anyone call you? Or perhaps I'm just too high-strung and this time lapse bu...

Did I Really Move to Greenwich?: You'd Think Saying "I Told You So" Would Get Old

Did I Really Move to Greenwich? Tuesday, March 6, 2012. You'd Think Saying "I Told You So" Would Get Old. Dear American Women Moderates,. But somewhere in the liberal elite bunker, someone who looks an awful lot like I do (this was a while ago, so fatter), was saying crazy paranoid doomsday stuff like: one of these days some idiot is going to try to limit access to contraception. "Don't be ridiculous! Both you middle-of-the-road Tippers and you coastal hedonists. I am so, so tired. Follow me on Twitter.

Did I Really Move to Greenwich?: All-Consuming
http://didireallymove.blogspot.com/2013/05/all-consuming.html
Did I Really Move to Greenwich? Monday, May 13, 2013. I have made a bread from time to time, but given my propensity for entire-loaf-consumption, don't make a habit of it. Yet even the best of intentions get tested. My mother wanted a baguette pan for mother's day and it seemed silly to just buy one while Amazon was already. Delivering to my house. I've never made a baguette, so the prospect was interesting. I do like eating baguettes. From Mark Bittman, New York Times. Add the above to a food processor ...

Did I Really Move to Greenwich?: February 2012

Did I Really Move to Greenwich? Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Watch This Space For A Massive Rationalization. I've sat on this a couple of days, desperately searching for the silver bullet of logic to make what I'm about to write not appear to be a complete reversal of previously published thoughts. I'm willing to believe a great many things about myself, but no matter how much sugar I sprinkle on this turd of a rationalization, it still tastes of, you know. I don't know why she couldn't keep it together...

Did I Really Move to Greenwich?: July 2011
http://didireallymove.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Did I Really Move to Greenwich? Thursday, July 28, 2011. Won't Someone Please Think of the Children. Oh, those words that get tossed about until they are rendered meaningless. The news had two non-default related things to talk about recently and, strangely, they both got the same word: tragedy. They got it right. Once. If you are a Norwegian, you experienced a tragedy. In fact, you experienced a Tragedy. We're with you 100% as you try to come to terms with this. Let's reserve tragedy for actual tragedies.

Did I Really Move to Greenwich?: March 2011
http://didireallymove.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Did I Really Move to Greenwich? Tuesday, March 29, 2011. I Touched Harry Potter. Every now and again, though, I've relented. I even dragged devoted partner to the crapstorm that was Dracula: The Musical. My father looked dashing as ever in his tux and, this being one of his all-time favorite musicals, he was hyped up. I was cautiously pessimistic. But I didn't catch myself, at any point, finding god simply so I could pray for the end of the show. And from me, that's a mark of distinct praise for the ...

Did I Really Move to Greenwich?: September 2011
http://didireallymove.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Did I Really Move to Greenwich? Thursday, September 29, 2011. There Are, Occasionally, Things To Eat Here. It helps that food has not been a priority of late, notfood having won out for nearly 2 years, but occasionally we want someone else to bring us food. Especially last Sunday when we were hungover. So, I thought it would only be fair to highlight some of the food we have enjoyed. No But there were no strollers which, believe me, is a godsend. A rehearsal dinner, I kept threatening to do it here.
