Family by Adoption: March 2011
http://familybyadoption.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 31, 2011. Wow what a journey! I just thought I would update this blog. Well our Birthmother is 36 weeks and 3 days today. Three weeks ago the baby was weighing around 5 lbs and 4oz. This journey has been a struggle. We have been tested at all ends. I was not willing to give up, and remained in faith that God had a plan. He brought us to it, and will bring us through it. 8212; Joel Osteen. Did that speak volumes to me! I can't explain the pull I have towards Isabella Grace growing in our B...

Our Journey to Emma: March 2011

Our Journey to Emma. Follow along as we take this journey of adopting our little girl from China. Tuesday, March 22, 2011. It is hard to believe that Emma Kate will be 16 months this month and has been home with us now for 8 months. I always hear parents say, "cherish everyday because time passes quickly"! I now understand that completely. Emma Kate went to the pediatrician this month and she weighs 22 pounds and is 31 inches tall which means she is growing like a weed! I love my new Kai Lan backpack!

Sorry it has been a while since I posted anything but as usual.we have been busy. Emma Kate is still crawling everywhere and goes so fast. She is pulling up and cruising the furniture like a pro. She has even stood by herself (not holding onto anything) a few times. Walking is going to happen soon. We took a few pictures and here they are. Enjoy! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

We are very thankful for this due to the economy. Last year after we returned from China with Emma Kate, he brought Jaynie on to work with him. She has done great with the business and loves what she is doing! Back: David, Erica. Front: Jaynie, Calvin. We both went through lots of clothes that one day! Emma Kate is exerting more o...

Our Journey to Emma. Follow along as we take this journey of adopting our little girl from China. Wednesday, June 8, 2011. Well, another month has passed and we have been busy bees around here! Emma Kate and I got home in time to have our first Mother’s Day together. We had a nice day together. Emma Kate is talking more and more. She attempts to repeat what we say more often now. She can say cracker and go, go, go. I have included a video below of her saying “cracker”. The beaches there are just beautifu...

Around the World and 2 Kids. Hair and Skin Care. Sondra will be very happy that we have a book rack in the nursery! We have always planned on doing lots of reading, and buying books was actually the one indulgence we’ve allowed ourselves as we’ve waited all these years. There is a big bookcase of books up in the playroom, but we figure we’ll rotate different ones down here. A does the sewing, I do the shadowboxing. This one is made from a floral wire, scrapbook papers, stamps, a little nest and a tin...

Our Journey to Emma. Follow along as we take this journey of adopting our little girl from China. Wednesday, December 29, 2010. We had a nice, quiet, and white Christmas! Apparently the last time it snowed in Atlanta on Christmas Day was in the year 1882. Wow, that was a few years ago! Emma Kate in her dress that Stephanie, Brian and Sylvie gave to her. We went to a Christmas party so this was the perfect thing for her to wear. Of course, she was the hit of the party. Christmas Eve posing for the camera.

Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Austin is getting so big! I can hardly believe we celebrated his 3rd birthday this past July 11. It seems like it was yesterday when we brought him home from the hospital. I know I sound like ALL parents, but you really don't realize how true the phrase "they grow up so fast! Really is until you're a parent. He is growing into quite a little man and talking, talking all the while. We've even enjoyed some not-so-fun sassy moments now that he is three! She was so patient with m...

The ladies team is looking good this year. It is so tiring laying around on cows and trying to find my place in the herd. Greetings from County General;. The latest visitor to darken our door.the dreaded stomach virus. One with a take no prisoners approach who took out our entire squadron in one fell swoop. How sweet", thought I,"he wants ...

Sunday, July 31, 2011. Happy Birthday Aubriana Rose. My sweet child, what joy you have brought to me; with your soft and gentle demeanor. You were born such a little lady, I am so lucky to be able to indulge. Your desires in all things girlie! I find it difficult to restrain myself in feeding your passion for fashion! I never realized how much I would be joining you on experiencing the joys. Of being a little girl, once again I live in a land of fairies and princesses. And all things possible. You are my...
