my journey to jinja.: December 2012
http://myjourneytojinja.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
My journey to jinja. Sunday, December 23, 2012. And so i wait. Perfect faith is not faith that moves God. Perfect faith is faith that moves us to trust God when He doesn't seem to be moving." - Andy Stanley. Sunday, December 16, 2012. Giving it all to God. All I can do from here is pray and remind them of words of hope that were written long ago. Dear Lord, let that be enough - at least, for now. Wednesday, December 12, 2012. Prayers for the unspoken. Wednesday, December 5, 2012. Sunday, December 2, 2012.

my journey to jinja.: May 2012
http://myjourneytojinja.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
My journey to jinja. Thursday, May 31, 2012. A (happy) change in plans. We got an email from Autumn. Yesterday sharing that we will no longer be going to Amazima. During our time in Uganda. I want to challenge my other team members to see this as a blessing! The reason we're not going to Amazima is because they don't need us! Now we can spend the time that was allotted for Amazima to help orphanages who actually DO need us! About us. It is always. About Him and being His servant. Tuesday, May 29, 2012.

my journey to jinja.: March 2013
http://myjourneytojinja.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
My journey to jinja. Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Jinja on my mind. I am so sorry that I have been MIA lately! The truth is: I have some HUGE news to share, but it is not yet time to share it - but soon, my friends, soon! There are a few more people who need to hear this news from me before I go public with it. On one hand, there is much happening, but on the other hand, I'm stuck in the waiting phase. It's a very strange feeling to be caught in the middle of these extremes! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Follo...

my journey to jinja.: just a whisper.
http://myjourneytojinja.blogspot.com/2013/01/just-whisper.html
My journey to jinja. Tuesday, January 22, 2013. And He whispers: "Trust.". And He reminds me of Jeremiah 29:11. And though they aren't the words I was hoping for, they are more than enough. At the whisper of His voice, He brings peace to a worried soul and a mind full of questions. My strength is renewed, and I continue on with the waiting. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). my journey to jinja.: stuck.
http://myjourneytojinja.blogspot.com/2013/04/stuck.html
My journey to jinja. Thursday, April 18, 2013. The adoption process should NOT be so difficult. Everyone deserves to be loved, know that they are loved, and have a solid family - no matter what that family looks like. That needs to be the focus. Forget all of the politics. In learning more about international adoptions out of Uganda, I am finding that it's not just a hard process, it's nearly impossible. Nearly. A new documentary was just released called Stuck. my journey to jinja.: the conversation.
http://myjourneytojinja.blogspot.com/2013/02/the-conversation.html
My journey to jinja. Wednesday, February 13, 2013. I have been praying about The Conversation over the past few months. I've also been worrying about it. And dreading it. So I put it off and planned to have this talk sometime in the future. Some undetermined time in the future, that is. And you know what? I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my chest, and I am absolutely joyous about the communication that occurred. I am praising God tonight, friends! And with one step at a time, we move forward!

my journey to jinja.: September 2012
http://myjourneytojinja.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
My journey to jinja. Thursday, September 13, 2012. I'm the type of person who needs to take one thing at a time. If you give me fifteen thousand events to be excited about, I can only focus on the one that comes first. I'm not at a place in my life where I even have fifteen thousand things planned. But there are three big things coming up quickly: October 10th: last day at my current job / October 12th: head to Uganda / October 29th: start my new job. It's frustrating. Life is happening. Smalley center's...

my journey to jinja.: i refuse.
http://myjourneytojinja.blogspot.com/2013/02/i-refuse.html
My journey to jinja. Sunday, February 3, 2013. I can hear the least of these. Crying out so desperately. And I know we are the hands and feet. Of You, oh God. So, if You say move. It's time for me to follow through. And do what I was made to do. Show them who You are. Cause I don't want to live like I don't care. I don't want to say another empty prayer. Oh, I refuse. To sit around and wait for someone else. To do what God has called me to do myself. Oh, I could choose. Not to move but I refuse.

my journey to jinja.: October 2012
http://myjourneytojinja.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
My journey to jinja. Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Monday, October 29, 2012. I started my new job today and it went extremely well - though all things Africa were close to the surface the entire day. While I was reading through the HR handbook, I found myself taking mental notes about adoption and day care benefits. You know, just in case ;). Coming back takes more courage than going in the first place, doesn't it? Sunday, October 28, 2012. You take a hot shower for an extremely long time. Then you we...
