Keith and Karen … on tour! Just another WordPress.com site. We arrived back in Portsmouth on 20th January 2011 and in Peterborough on 21st January. We were in time for the birth of our third grandchild Leo born on 26th Jan at the new Peterborough City Hospital. He weighed 8 lbs 12 oz. Keith and Karen … on tour! Just another WordPress.com site. Here we are parked between the big trucks just south of Bordeaux. Note the blue sky - it was here that we first came across it! This polish lorry driver sat by his truck and set up a gas ring and then prepared what looked like a fish stew from basic ingredients including peeling potato and onion. Keith and Karen … on tour! Just another WordPress.com site. The end of the Strip – La Manga. The La Manga strip is about 18 kms long – we felt we must reach the end before leaving the area. So beautiful - would make a great jigsaw! There is ‘humped backed’ bridge which is so steep that there is evidence of vehicles scaping undercarriages as they pass over the top. Steep bridge at the end of the strip. Each kilometer of the strip is marked with surfboard shaped posts giving local information etc.
