Monday, February 06, 2006. A picture from Summer 2005! Here I am at the great wall of China! I was (and still am) afraid of heights, so I didn't go all the way up. Posted by Keith @ 12:26 AM. Sunday, July 17, 2005. The Heat Is On. Everyone has a certain temperature range that he or she would consider to be his or her comfort zone. For me, that's the 15-20 degrees celcius range. It's been nowhere near that in Toronto this summer. I opened the window and most of them escaped through there. One theory i...

Keith Wong's Blog: "Artistic" Liberties

http://keithwong.blogspot.com/2005/02/artistic-liberties.html

Sunday, February 20, 2005. I've only been around since 1980, but I am sure that at some point in history, anthems were sung the way they were intended to be sung the vast majority of the time. For that matter, there may or may not have even been a time where the anthems were sung as intended all. Of the time. Occasionally, a singer would choose to change a note, a bar, or some other bit of the anthem and it would be accepted as an artistic liberty. Sometimes it sounds nice and sometimes it doesn't, but a...

Keith Wong's Blog: December 2004

http://keithwong.blogspot.com/2004_12_01_archive.html

Friday, December 31, 2004. I never did eat much bacon when I grew up because I didn't actually enjoy it much more than most other meats that I ate. My logic was that bacon was so much worse for me than these other meats, and only tasted a bit better, so why not eat more meat as opposed to less? By the time I tried again, I had discovered something I had once again not considered. What if I were to cook the package in parts? Posted by Keith @ 1:07 AM. Wednesday, December 29, 2004. Boy, do I miss hockey.

Sunday, July 17, 2005. The Heat Is On. Everyone has a certain temperature range that he or she would consider to be his or her comfort zone. For me, that's the 15-20 degrees celcius range. It's been nowhere near that in Toronto this summer. This past week, it's been between 25 and 35 degrees. Worse still. I have no air conditioning. Needless to say, I've been so uncomfortable that I haven't been sleeping properly. I opened the window and most of them escaped through there. One theory is that one (or ...

Keith Wong's Blog: Go Go Igo!

http://keithwong.blogspot.com/2005/01/go-go-igo.html

Wednesday, January 19, 2005. Similarly, I get the same feeling when I watch the anime that has recently taken over my after-work life: Hikaru No Go. Admittedly, I probably don't have the patience to play Go anymore, but just watching this show makes me want to know enough of the strategy to see why the moves made in the show are as significant as they are. Without further ado, I had best be getting back to watching the show. Posted by Keith @ 10:21 PM. Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. Boy, do I miss hockey.

Keith Wong's Blog: That was incredible... and guest.

http://keithwong.blogspot.com/2005/01/that-was-incredible-and-guest.html

Sunday, January 23, 2005. That was incredible. and guest. The thing is, I occasionally do see something new for some reason or other. That's when I worry that I'll blab about something I shouldn't have. In this case though, the vast majority of people I know have seen The Incredibles already. I guess the only reason I worry is because I wouldn't normally see it for maybe another year or so. So for the rest of this post, note that there will be spoilers, so read at your own risk. If you haven't seen this ...

The Times and Tribulations of JY: March 2005

http://jaryee.blogspot.com/2005_03_01_archive.html

The Times and Tribulations of JY. Thursday, March 31, 2005. It's been a week? Whoa it's already Thursday. isn't it amazing how nice and quickly a week flies by when it's a short one? Anyway, my long weekend was jammed packed with things. I went to Bangor/Freeport on Friday/Saturday - great weather and wonderful shopping. It was glorious shopping heaven! Anyhow, I'm currently broke and am dreading my next month's credit card bill. Alrighty, thats it for now. Ciao! Posted by Jar Yee @ 5:58 AM. I woke up at...

The Times and Tribulations of JY. Friday, April 29, 2005. Geeee you think it's rained enough YET? I think it's probably easier to count the sunny days we've had in the last two weeks: 3 days (maybe)! If it doesn't flood, there must be some sort of miracle work going on underground.cuz it's been raining pretty heavily for the last two days. Anyways, it's Friday. again! GIVE ME A BREAK! AND I emailed U of Ottawa's faculty of education to find out whether I'd be able to change my concentration from Junior/I...

The Times and Tribulations of JY. Wednesday, December 29, 2004. And a Happy New Year! Ah merry belated Christmas! New Year's in coming at full speed. only three more days left of 2004! Boy o boy. can you believe the year is already over? I was going to do a summary of my year, but I'm not that interesting, so there isn't much to say! I found that they just had too much on the go and tried to twist everything a lot. Was sort of? I think you can make an online donation at any of these websites with a maste...

The Times and Tribulations of JY. Thursday, July 28, 2005. Stress is Starting to Sink In. My apologies for not updating as often as usual. Life has been busy and I've been tired. I expect it'll be like this until I get settled into my new place. I've been working . and it's two weeks after my contract finished. It looks like I'm going to be back at the office again next week. *sigh*. Well. money is always a good thing, oui? Ahh I already felt OLD last year. I imagine it's going to be worse this year!

The Times and Tribulations of JY: Christmas Yet?

http://jaryee.blogspot.com/2008/11/christmas-yet.html

The Times and Tribulations of JY. Sunday, November 09, 2008. I'm feeling like getting ready for the Christmas season.it's a bit early. Plus, it feels like Christmas will not be Christmas over here. I mean, no snow. no space for a tree. how is that Christmas? How is it Christmas without SNOW! Speaking of snow. I MISS it. Maybe I shouldn't have written it like that.it seems to be in a way, taboo here. Whenever I say I'm from NB, people respond."you must be loving the weather over here! It's so mild here!

The Times and Tribulations of JY: Sleep Sucks

http://jaryee.blogspot.com/2009/01/sleep-sucks.html

The Times and Tribulations of JY. Tuesday, January 13, 2009. No, not burnt out. but just can't get a good night's sleep. I think I must wake up at least 5 times each night. it's been at least 2 weeks since I've had a "decent" night's sleep. The definition of decent is debatable. My definition is me waking up 2-3 times and that I'm able to fall back to sleep within minutes of waking up. It SUCKS! In other news, CNY (Chinese New Year) is just around the corner. What a difference it's been (so far)! Since m...

The Times and Tribulations of JY. Wednesday, June 29, 2005. Blah blah blah and more blah! Hmm I just noticed my titles are often grouchy.teeheehee! The problem is: INSURANCE! Apparantly State Farm doesn't allow you to be insured unless you personally go in and get your paperwork done. So they are now telling me that I need to set up a policy here and arrange for it to be transferred when we go over. I hope it works. I've finally fallen victim to the flu. :( Felt the bug sort of coming on Friday, and increasingly worse on Saturday. I guess Saturday night was the worse of it. broke out in a massive sweat in the middle of the night and had to actually change my PJ's! Alright. no more. more after recovery. The Times and Tribulations of JY. Saturday, October 10, 2009. It's been a long while. I've almost abandoned this blog. Monday, August 20, 2012. Surprisingly, I wasn’t jet lagged or tired from the long flight. this despite me flying for over 14 hours plus a 3 hours transit. Am I super or what? Might be the adrenaline rush since this is my first time to Europe. My first stop is Prague. Also known as ‘Praha’ in Czech. It is one of Europe’s most charming cities and definitely the most popular city in Eastern Europe. People call it the ‘fairy tale city’. So mind your wallet! Prague’s also a really romantic city. Common room o...
