If there ever was a time that I was the primary focus of my parent's lives, it was so long ago that I can't stir it in my memories. So I'm going to assume that it probably never happened. I tend to hate this time of year. Every TV show we watch has some kind of Christmas-focused episode and it usually centers around family. And while most of the shows are already about. And I don't understand.

Something I've learned in photography recently, especially with reluctant preschoolers and children, is that sometimes the best shots come after the shot. A child that doesn't want their picture taken may be difficult for the shot, but if you take a picture (or pretend to) and then say, "okay done," and then take another one (quickly before they have time to move! You'll usually get the shot you were looking for in the first place!

It's been filled with store bought Christmas cards for 10 years. They just take up space and annoy me when I see them there. I used a plastic cup as a pattern to cut circles out of two boxes of the cards. I wanted this to coordinate with our stocking hangers, which spell: PEACE and JOY.
