Will You Help Me Serve Refugees in Greece? A few months ago I wrote about my broken heart for the Syrian refugees. I told you I slept on the floor because I didn’t know how else to help. Now I do. Right now, halfway across the world, there are thousands of Syrian and Afghan families preparing to take the 20-30 day hike to the coast of Turkey to catch a raft in hopes of a better life. With your help, I’ll be there when they arrive. So, in 42 days, I’m going to Greece. But I need to have the funds in ASAP.

Always Fall in Love. Over the last few months, something happened. I fell in love. I fell hard; the sappy, pathetic, distracted, and clumsy kind of falling in love. I barely slept. I ate chocolate and girl scout cookies. I gazed out windows for hours and smiled constantly. I wrote poems, painted European landscapes, and watched endless romantic movies. I twirled my hair, listened to Ben Rector, and felt my heart pound in my chest harder each day. I did what every young single girl does:. I went to Europe.

Thursday, August 13, 2009. A visit from Kansas. After running up our cell phone bills with texts and long distance calls, my friend who moved to Kansas came for a visit after 3 long years of not seeing each other. The plane landed Thursday morning and we were off to the beach immediately! The next day we headed to Long beach and went to the Aquarium, and then headed to the Queen Mary for a ghost tour.which was quite scary! The biggest event was of course, Disneyland! Sunday, July 26, 2009.
