Kellie's Kitchen: April 2011
http://kellieskitchen.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 30, 2011. Mixed Green Salad with Pears, Goat Cheese, and a Fig Vinaigrette. The salad was elegant enough for a special occasion or holiday, and it was easy and simple. I loved this salad, but Kevin thought it would be better with some chopped walnuts or sliced almonds so I'll probably try that next time. The recipe below makes the perfect amount of salad for 6 people. 6 cups mixed salad greens. 1-1/2 cups thinly, sliced, cored Bosc pear. 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar. 2 garlic cloves, crushed.

Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake Bars. Need a dessert to bring to your 4th of July party this weekend? I figured that these would be good since they're a combination of cheesecake and chocolate chip cookie dough, and I was right. These were incredible! Seriously, you need to make these. You may want to go for a little jog after eating them, but trust me - they're worth the calories. I came across this recipe. On this really great cooking blog, Beantown Baker. We've been gr...
Kellie's Kitchen: Island Spice Pork Tenderloin
http://kellieskitchen.blogspot.com/2011/04/island-spice-pork-tenderloin.html
Monday, April 11, 2011. Island Spice Pork Tenderloin. Before trying this recipe, my opinion on pork tenderloin was, ehhh.it's okay. This recipe totally changed my outlook.this is now by far by new favorite pork tenderloin recipe! The sweet and spicy combination of the rub and glaze add an amazing flavor to the pork. This is casual and easy enough for a weeknight meal at home, but it's also impressive and tasty enough to serve to company. This one's a keeper (and I've made it several times)! Heat the oliv...
Kellie's Kitchen: August 2010

Tuesday, August 17, 2010. Grilled Cheese Sandwiches with Peaches and Arugula. I know this isn't really a full recipe, but I had to share this grilled cheese variation because it was a great summer sandwich! Friday, August 13, 2010. When I think about what desserts go best with a Mexican dinner, three desserts come to mind - flan (which I LOVE, but Kevin doesn't), fried ice cream (which is a pain because you have to deep fry it), and tres leches cake. Kevin had never heard of tres leches cake (what? Don't...

All the simple things. A snapshot of our daily life in kansas city. Friday, May 27, 2011. My mom and I just hosted a bridal shower this past Sunday. Hopefully I'll get the pictures from my dad soon so I can do a post to show the food spread and decorations - we thought it all turned out really nice. Plus, I think everyone had a good time. Oh, and sorry there are no pictures, you'll just have to take my word for it that the dip is wonderful. Enjoy! 2 cans mexi-corn, drained (located by the canned corn).

All the simple things. A snapshot of our daily life in kansas city. Friday, November 11, 2011. I'm finding myself quite happy this Friday morning and thought I would share a few of those reasons. Most of them are just silly little things, but lots of little happiness adds up! It's Friday. Enough said. TGIF. The Christmas holiday season is just around the corner. Hands down, this is my favorite holiday. What's not to love? Matt finished up priming our kitchen cabinets last night. I had dinner with my ...

All the simple things. A snapshot of our daily life in kansas city. Monday, April 25, 2011. Ok, so I didn't. Win a blog award. Not sure my 1 post every couple weeks and less-than-exciting topics are going to win me any awards. However, my friend, Megan, did post this. On her blog, and in honor of this award she has given me, I'm supposed to list seven random facts about myself. 3 I fractured my elbow falling down a concrete staircase at work during my 5th year of college. Nice. Thanks for the award Megan!
all the simple things: September 2011
http://handmledbetter.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
All the simple things. A snapshot of our daily life in kansas city. Wednesday, September 7, 2011. It's no secret how much I love home improvement projects. But for as much as I love them, I took a much-needed break for basically the whole summer. After painting every piece of trim in our house, among many other projects, I was beyond worn out. However, I'm slowing coming out of hibernation, especially after I was introduced to Pinterest. Is da bomb - do people even use that phrase any more? That's just s...

All the simple things. A snapshot of our daily life in kansas city. Thursday, March 31, 2011. Penny for your Thoughts. My mind is pondering over a random thought / question this morning. Is it better to have bad events/things/situations happen all at once or. Spread out over a longer period of time? I understand this is more of a hypothetical question, but I sure wish the answer could be yes / no, black / white, left / right.well you get the picture. I see it like this:. Tuesday, March 29, 2011.
