May 31, 2015. June 1, 2015. Every weekend I will go to the village where the church base of Love’s Door is at, and I got to go for the first time this past weekend! The base is about an hour drive from town, and is in the midst of many other villages. It is also where the children’s home is located where many sponsored children live. May 31, 2015. May 31, 2015. First Day in Zambia! My last two flights went great as well as customs and getting my visa! After that, we went to the food palace to eat which I was very excited about since I had no energy to cook anything for myself. We had chicken sharwama wraps which have chicken, french fries (or chips as they call it here), onions, sauce, and a couple other things in it. They were so good and really cheap! Karen calls it home food, and I agree. It was a great first day in Zambia.

June 17, 2015. When you’re in the village away from the light pollution, man is it amazing! On Thursday morning we also helped the same man as last week finish building his mud house, and that was a lot of fun again. Some people decided to have a mud fight, but I tried to stay out of it…good times. And they don’t ever complain. They inspire me. It ended up being a lot more fun for Enesha to do it! God is good.
