Volare: Volare
http://lhranac-volare.blogspot.com/2010/05/volare.html
My adventures in Rome, Italy, and Europe. On Friday, May 21, 2010. Looking back, I can't help but to compare myself to the person that I was when I left for Rome:. Am I new person? I don't think so. In all, my study abroad experience lived up to its name: I traveled and studied, and I learned a lot of lifelong lessons along the way. Friday, May 21, 2010. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Five things that I will definitely miss: Seminarians. England: London, Stonehenge, Bath. Seville and Cece: BFFs.

Volare: Ronnie the Bear and the Mighty Po: A Love Story
http://lhranac-volare.blogspot.com/2010/02/ronnie-bear-and-po-river-love-story.html
My adventures in Rome, Italy, and Europe. Ronnie the Bear and the Mighty Po: A Love Story. On Saturday, February 27, 2010. While we visited several important and astounding sites, I have been able to narrow down our list to a few favorites:. Here's a new one for you: Food. While Rome offers a smorgasbord of fantastic cuisine, I must admit that it pales in comparison to much of the food that is offered in northern Italy. Yeah, I went there. Oh, food. How I love you. Until then, arrivederci! Ronnie the Bea...

Roman Holiday: November 2009
http://natalieburkart.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Everyone soon or late comes round by Rome.". Monday, November 23, 2009. While my family was visiting me this weekend for yet another inspiring loss by the Irish, my wonderful mother pointed out to me that there was nothing about my home/family in my previous post about things I will miss while I am abroad. So as to not offend my chief financial advisors, I present a stipulation to my list:. 4 Calling my sister at 2 in the morning on the brink of tears, begging for help on Medieval Literature papers, and ...

Volare: The Ghosts of Weekends Past
http://lhranac-volare.blogspot.com/2010/03/ghosts-of-weekends-past.html
My adventures in Rome, Italy, and Europe. The Ghosts of Weekends Past. On Thursday, March 11, 2010. As you have probably noticed, I am once again losing ground on the blogging front. If anything can excuse this, however, I think that the avalanche of work that comes during the final four weeks of the Rome Program can do so justly. I’ve warned you. Weekend #1 (February 26-28). The Villa d’Este put the Boboli Gardens to shame. After a few quick stops for an overpriced (and mediocre) lunch and a rather fant...

Volare: Once in a Lifetime
http://lhranac-volare.blogspot.com/2010/04/once-in-lifetime.html
My adventures in Rome, Italy, and Europe. Once in a Lifetime. On Thursday, April 22, 2010. In other news, in addition to succumbing to waves of nostalgia, I have been spending the past two weeks in Italy with my parents, enjoying every moment. But then again, it's hard not to enjoy waking up to your mother throwing open the window and singing "O Sole Mio" to the bewildered Romans in the street below. And of course, you can expect one more rather sentimental blog from the Eternal City. Once in a Lifetime.

Volare: March 2010
http://lhranac-volare.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
My adventures in Rome, Italy, and Europe. On Monday, March 29, 2010. As the Italians say when they order a meal: "É basta". For those of you that are Italian impaired, this means, "I'm finished"/"That's enough.". And for those of you who haven't connected the dots: I (Laura Hranac) am finished. Yes, I am finished with school, and I am a mere two days away from being finished with Rome Program. I suppose that I should end this rather sappy post. Again, as the Italians say: "É basta.". I’ve warned you.

Volare: The Easter Feast
http://lhranac-volare.blogspot.com/2010/04/easter-feast.html
My adventures in Rome, Italy, and Europe. On Monday, April 5, 2010. At this exact moment, I am sitting in my friend's dorm room in Ireland, nursing a very large food baby (appropriately named Jesus), and smiling in satisfaction while I think about the Easter Feast that my friends and I just dominated. Yes, dominated. And here's why:. Bread (12 loaves) and Garlic and Herb Dip. Ham dressed with Honey and Thyme Glaze. Funeral Potatoes (cooked successfully, even with hot Irish mustard). While we did in fact ...
