What did I like most about writing. What did I most like about this essay? Was there a point in the assignment that I just stopped realizing this was an assignment? Where did I get stuck? What did I learn? What did I learn about writing essays? Im not really sure, the choice would be up to them. Posted by Dana @ 11/29/2006 07:28:00 AM.

Sunday, December 10, 2006. By writing the essay, I was also able to release my feelings and finding a home for them. I realized that writing can take you places that maybe you weren’t even ready for. That it can open wounds and sew them shut. This is the beginning of a journey that will open myself and realize that it is okay to be who I am. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Creative NF: The many different faces of journalism

Sunday, October 29, 2006. The many different faces of journalism. By Erika Vidal and feeling real down about my upcoming English degree and wondering,. Will I too be working at a place that I never really expected myself to be at? Like a person sitting on the cold concrete ground of Grand Central Station playing the guitar badly and asking for change and to get even more change, will perform a Britney Spears choice of dance? Kahn doesn’t tell the reader that she will be writing about organ transpla...

Tuesday, September 26, 2006. In which I try to separate the personal essay from the memoir and fail miserably. Yay! There’s a fine line between personal essays and memoirs. Actually, it gets a little confusing after awhile that you might begin to intermix the terms ‘personal essay’ and ‘memoir’ when talking about each. Now memoirs. According to Wikipedia. So that pretty much sums up memoir, I suppose. Personal essays: chronological order. Memoirs: Not so much with the chronological order. Is called ̶...

English 3017 - Student. Thursday, November 30, 2006. Describe a point in your writing when you "lost" yourself in your writing - when you were writing for the pleasure of writing? I can never do this." I was glad I was able to do it, but I still had to take out some content. Describe a point where you got stuck how you got unstuck. Describe what you learned about yourself. As a craft, I believe writing is something that has lots of potential, its just a matter of putting a story together in the way.

Most satisfying to write about the plagiarism essay. It felt like I was purging myself of. My former self. I felt like I was coming clean from a past that was soiled with mistakes. And missed opportunities. It was cathartic and even if is never published; it felt very. Good to write and to get off my shoulders.

Wednesday, October 11, 2006. What do we want to do with these blogs, anyway? In class we talked about blogging and commenting. I observed that the blogs have not really taken off yet in terms of you using them for your own purposes to develop writing and to connect to each other, and help each other out with the assignments. So we decided to continue with this experiment, and I said I would take this discussion into consideration as I grade. I don't know. So what do you think? View my complete profile.

It is like going on a trip - to the past, through your mind, into a place you have never been before (because you never fully understood or imagined it).
