We're dog sitting while my brother gets his family situated before he deploys for Afghanistan in September. I'm glad that we can pitch in. The part I was unprepared for, however, was this. Thursday, October 28, 2010. Ok, so good news first. I've lost 5 pounds so far. 5! To those people, I shake my fist at you. Fortunately, Jillian steps in to yell at them about celebrating their accomplishment rather than being discouraged/annoyed that it isn't more. By the time she's done, I feel like she's said my piece for me. And here I am - doing the same thing. Granted, it's five pounds in about two weeks but dangit, it's five pounds less than I was two weeks ago! So why am I doing this to myself?

A day in the life of. Sunday, March 6, 2011. We had a great December. We kept ourselves busy with all sorts of activities. Lots of baking, here we were making gingerbread cookies. For the kids first annual gingerbread decorating party (or eat candy until you are sick to your stomach party). Snuggled up in Mom and Dad's bed on the cold mornings. Checked out some guns at Bass Pro Shops. Rode the reindeer carousel. Dreamed of incredible gifts that would be fun to surprise dad with. Ate too much candy.

A day in the life of. Sunday, July 11, 2010. We had a really fun and busy 4th of July weekend. We started the weekend with a children's parade. The boys got to decorate their bikes and parade them down the street, ending with free hotdogs, bounce houses and a magic show put on by the city.
