April 29, 2014. Day 78: 11 weeks and 1 day. I can't believe it's almost been three months! Time is flying by now. I am looking forward to the 13 week mark when I get normal braces back. Here are some update photos:. Not much is changing now, even I can't tell the difference. I still have numbness in my chin, tongue, and upper gums, but my chin and tongue are getting a lot better. October 6, 2014. Day 234: I have a De-bracing Date! At my last visit with my orthodontist Dr. P. he said he was very happy with how things are looking and that I could be booked in for debracing on November 12! This is only 5 weeks and 2 days away. December 11, 2014. This happened about a month ago, but due to being in the middle of exams and having a trip to Thailand straight after I was unable to post. But here I am in all my toothy glory! June 16, 2014. Day 126: Long time, no see. Sorry I haven't posted in sooooooooooo long! Life has a habit of getting really busy, huh. April 10, 2014. So… About Those Jaw Exercises…. Remember when I admitted that my surgeon’s millimetre expectations were causing me a certain level of anxiety? Apparently…that was justified! Fast forward again to my appointment. My surgeon approaches with his trusty ruler and WHAT? I was only measuring 20 mm! I was about to walk out with my head hung in shame when I said, ‘Look, please hand me those tongue depressors! I’ll prove it! 8217; I piled them up, shoved them in my mouth and BOOM! Oh but wait....

April 10, 2014. Day 37 – I LOVE MY FACE! So much so, that I treated my new face to a new ‘do’ 🙂. I’m amazed at how much change has occurred in the last week from minor loses in swelling! My chin is evening out, my cheek bones are becoming more pronounced and I can’t help but stare all the time when I catch myself with my lips shut. February 26, 2014. Nine hours to go! Made it through a full day of back and forth ortho/dental appointments and the final hours at work! Enjoyed a massive and delicious beef burger and home cut fries with the fam for my ‘last chewable meal’. Hoping to get in a few decent hours of sleep if I can get my mind to rest. Here goes! April 10, 2014. Day 31 – I Can Chew! After another follow up appointment with my surgeon, I have been given the green light to chew ANYTHING! Granted, that last word is used loosely as I quickly found out that this whole chewing gig is going to take some practice haha. I started slowly with some delicious fruit and yogurt. Mini Me This, Bruce Me That. Tuesday, 15 October 2013. I made this gothic mansion using Laura Denisons Fairy House pattern. It's to house a wedding mini for my cousins wedding. I cut out all the mount board and then put it together. I covered corners and edges with brown paper and mod podge. I love the sheen that the mod podge creates. Roof of the tower.
