http://rachelandkatelyn.blogspot.com/2011/11/2011-rocket-romp.html
Friday, November 18, 2011. Every year, our elementary school has one main fundraiser called Rocket Romp. The kids ask for pledges and then on the day of Rocket Romp they walk around the track for an hour. Our goal this year was $35,000 and we made the goal! Here are some pictures from Katelyn's hour on the track. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Photo by Chris Bright. Photo by Chris Bright. Photo by Chris Bright. Photo by Chris Bright. Wednesday, June 29, 2011. The girls and I had Worship Camp last week. The theme was Reign and all the songs/music was about reign, rain, or some kind of water. It was an awesome week! The kids learned 4 songs to sing; learned sign language to a song; learned a dance; and had a blacklight performance. This is the 4th and 5th graders dance to Singin' in the Rain. Rachel has the green umbrella in the front row. One of our friends built a massive structure that actually allowed it to rain on stage! This is t...

Saturday, December 24, 2011. 3rd Grade Zoo Field Trip. The entire 3rd grade at Katelyn's school took a field trip to the zoo back in October. Yes - it's been a while, but I am finally getting the pictures posted! It was a beautiful day to be at the zoo and the kids had a great time. My favorite animals to watch are the gibbons! We were able to get them "talking" which always results in lots of laughs! Make a picture slideshow. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Photo by Chris Bright. Photo by Chris Bright.

Each six weeks they also always announce the top AR (accelerated reader) point earners for the school. Rachel is 1st in the school with over 500 points and Katelyn is 7th with over 200 points! Way to go girls! Live Pink, Bleed Orange. It was an easy win for the Lady Vols and Rachel had lots of fun with her friend!

Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Rachel's First 5k Race. Rachel had decided a few weeks ago that she wanted to run in a 5k! There is one held here locally, so we signed her and Robert up. Several of her friends signed up to run in it too. Rachel did a great job, especially since it was her first 5k! She did have to stop once and take a puff of her inhaler, but she did great! Her friends did an awesome job too! Lloyd ran in the 5k too and improved his time from last year! Katelyn's Birthday Party with Friends.
