We got them even before we had kids! So, for us it wasn't a topic of discussion, they would join us to Australia, not matter how difficult or expensive it would be. They were only 6 and 7 years old. Tuesday, May 10, 2011. What do you miss? Although I am really happy in my new country, with the new life we have, I do miss certain things from the country I was born and lived in for 34 years. I miss:. My mum and dad. Thank god for Skype! I do not know if I would be able to move half way around the world, without Skype. For me the way to have frequent contact and see them. Of course nothing can replace a real life hug. Typical Dutch foods. Some foods I make myself, like croquettes. Love to hear from you!
