May 1st, 2007 01:09 pm. So, Teeka just pointed out this whitehouse press release. In which our idiotic president decided that celebration of pagan holidays be damned. May 1 is now gonna be "Loyalty Day" in the U.S. After reading through the press release my initial reactions are:. So what exactly are we supposed to be celebrating on July 4th? Does "Loyalty Day" stike anyone else as the polar opposite of "Independence Day? Were actually the anti-patriots? Dear god, the 2008 elections can't come soon enough.

Reminded me about the RenFaire and that I forgot to post our pics, so here they are. The gal in the purple gown is Grayce. The overcoat she is wearing in the full length picture is white with purple embroidery that she did herself. She is so talented! Any Dragons, Dragon lovers, or Puppet Lovers? Hoping there are some Furs around that would love a puppet like this one. :). I brought this guy at the Texas Renaissance Festival from the awesome puppet makers Imaginarium Galleries (www.imaginariumgalleries.com). They are masters at making what they call "drabbits": Small dragon-rabbit creatures with TONS of personality. I hate having to sell him but in all honesty someone can put him to better use than I can and I am very short of money. Post a new comment.

Ren Faire: A Fistful of Ducats. For you Chicagoland theatre snobs out there, don't miss Ren Faire: A Fistful of Ducats. Playing through August 2nd at the Factory Theater, 3502 N. Elston. Starring Bristol cast member Erick Frederickson, the show by Matt Engle is a comedy about what happens when a Renaissance Faire and a Wild West show wind up on either side of the Interstate from each other. Hijinks ensue. Showtimes are 8 pm on Friday and Saturday and 7pm on Sunday. Tickets are $20 at the box office.
